When two tiny dancers stepped onto the America’s Got Talent stage, little did the audience know they were about to witness a dazzling recreation of one of the most iconic dance routines of all time.

Dancing to “Time of My Life,” originally performed by Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey in Dirty Dancing, the adorable duo brought the house down – and yes, they even nailed the lift!

Dirty Dancing, a cult classic released in 1987, captured hearts worldwide with its romance, music, and, of course, its unforgettable dance sequences. The moment when Swayze lifts Grey effortlessly into the air became one of the most iconic moments in film history and recreating such a beloved scene is no easy feat.

But in 2017, Artyon Celestine and Paige Glenn, eight and nine at the time, took on the challenge with incredible passion, precision and poise.

Their America’s Got Talent performance paid homage to the original while adding their own youthful charm and flair. Dressed in outfits reminiscent of the film’s famous dance scene, the pair transported the audience back to the nostalgia of the ’80s with their energy, grace, and undeniable chemistry.

When asked why they selected the song, little Paige answered confidently, “because it’s Americas Got Talent and this is the time of our lives!’”

The routine started off smoothly, with their perfectly synchronized footwork and expressive movements setting the stage for what was to come. As the music built to the climactic moment, the crowd held its breath – would they really attempt the lift?

With stunning precision and confidence, Artyon lifted Paige high into the air, recreating the iconic moment that made history decades ago.

The AGT audience erupted into cheers and the judges, including Simon Cowell and Howie Mandel, were left picking up their jaws from the ground.

But it didn’t end there.

The dynamic duo went on to wow the judges with a breathtaking routine filled with flips, pirouettes, and even a moment where they seemed to defy gravity. Artyon soared over little Paige in a daring forward somersault, leaving the entire panel of judges utterly speechless in amazement – even Cowell, who in a previous episode buzzed the tiny dancers when they swept across the floor to “Barbie Girl.”

Cowell, known for his tough critiques, couldn’t help but smile and praised their commitment and professionalism.

The kids met at dance class in 2015 and were instant besties.

At the time, Paige was planning her future with her little friend: “We’ve already started planning our wedding. We want it in Hawaii in a palace or by the beach,” she told E News in 2017, ahead of the Dirty Dancing performance. “I want my ring to be a diamond ring. I want a long, sparkly dress. And I want, like, really high heels with diamonds on it.”

Artyon was a little more practical and concerned about an expensive celebration, which included a dog fashion show.

“So that’s why we just need to win the million dollars from America’s Got Talent,” Paige explained.

Unfortunately the pair didn’t win and it appears the teenagers have gone their separate ways.

There is still time however, for wedding bells!

According to social media, Paige has since danced on stage with Taylor Swift and Blake Shelton, while Artyon – who also continues to dance – is a star high school football player, and actor with credits in TV series like Jane the Virgin, Dancing with the Stars: Juniors and 2017’s A Christmas Story Live!

Artyon Celestine and Paige Glenn’s performance on America’s Got Talent was nothing short of spectacular and they’ve left an indelible mark on the hearts of millions of fans.
