A woman’s final words have been revealed by her boyfriend after she was killed in a horrific alligator attack in Florida.
Brittany Clark, 31, was swimming in the Econlockhatchee River on Sunday, June 28, when she was suddenly attacked by a large alligator.
She had been in the water with her boyfriend, Chance Allison, and her close friend, Jayden Hernandez, after the group had gone hiking and decided to cool off in the river.
According to Allison, the attack happened without warning.
He described how the group had been laughing and talking moments before the situation turned into chaos, with a 13-foot alligator reportedly emerging unexpectedly from the water.
Hernandez later described how the group had even joked about the possibility of an alligator being nearby shortly before the attack.
Emergency services were called immediately and arrived in 12 minutes, but despite desperate efforts at the scene, Clark was pronounced dead.
Final words of Clark
Speaking to the New York Post, Allison revealed the last thing Clark said to him as they waited for help to arrive.
“While we were waiting for emergency services to arrive Brittany just told me to make sure I took care of Hokie,” he said.
Friends and loved ones have since described Clark as deeply caring, hardworking, and full of life, remembering her as someone who was both strong and selfless.
