Donald Trump issues furious warning to Zelensky

The long-promised peace deal between Ukraine and Russia is still nowhere in sight — and now, Donald Trump is done playing nice.

In a fiery new statement, the former president takes direct aim at Volodymyr Zelensky, delivering one of his most explosive warnings yet.

Accusing Zelensky
During his campaign, Donald Trump often claimed he could bring the war between Russia and Ukraine to an end “within 24 hours.” But so far, that promise hasn’t exactly panned out — and it’s becoming increasingly clear that the U.S. president is growing more and more frustrated by the situation.

In a fiery tirade that’s already lighting up social media, President Donald Trump has issued his sharpest warning yet to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, accusing him of dragging out the war with Russia and risking total national collapse.

The commander-in-chief took to Truth Social late last night with an ultimatum that left no room for interpretation: negotiate now — or lose everything.

“He can have Peace or, he can fight for another three years before losing the whole Country,” Trump wrote. “The statement made by Zelenskyy today will do nothing but prolong the ‘killing field,’ and nobody wants that!”

What sparked the fury
Trump’s fury was sparked by Zelensky’s declaration to The Wall Street Journal that Ukraine “will not legally recognize the occupation of Crimea.” The U.S. president slammed the statement as “very harmful to the Peace Negotiations with Russia,” insisting Crimea was lost “years ago under the auspices of President Barack Hussein Obama” and was no longer up for debate.

“Nobody is asking Zelenskyy to recognize Crimea as Russian Territory but, if he wants Crimea, why didn’t they fight for it eleven years ago when it was handed over to Russia without a shot being fired?” Trump fumed.

He went on to accuse Zelensky of making “inflammatory statements” and “boasting” about a situation that, in Trump’s words, is “dire.”

In his most blunt rebuke yet, Trump doubled down, suggesting Zelensky has no leverage left:

“We are very close to a Deal, but the man with ‘no cards to play’ should now, finally, GET IT DONE.”

Trump also took aim at the human cost of the conflict:

“I have nothing to do with Russia, but have much to do with wanting to save, on average, five thousand Russian and Ukrainian soldiers a week, who are dying for no reason whatsoever.”

Rubio’s threat
Just hours earlier, Trump’s Secretary of State Marco Rubio told reporters in Paris that the U.S. may “walk away” from the stalled talks.

“We are now reaching a point where we need to decide whether this is even possible or not,” Rubio said bluntly. “If it’s not, then I think we’re just going to move on. It’s not our war.”

The remarks come as U.S. officials reportedly withdrew from a planned high-stakes meeting in London, after Ukraine refused to concede to American demands — chief among them, handing over territory to Russia. Instead, Trump’s peace envoy Steve Witkoff was spotted en route to Moscow to meet directly with Vladimir Putin.

The shift in tone has rattled U.S. allies. UK officials were reportedly blindsided by the White House’s tactics, with one unnamed British minister telling Daily Mail, “The US are f***ing up everything – on Ukraine, on tariffs, on everything.”

Former UK Defence Secretary Ben Wallace didn’t hold back either:

“The next war will happen not because of Ukraine’s actions but because of Donald Trump and his red-neck team of Walter Mittys, media pundits and real estate salesmen who fail to understand the world we live in.”
