A cryptic video posted by the White House on X has caused a frenzy on social media. A female voice asking a question in the video has added to the mystery, with social media users sparking fears of nuclear war.

The cryptic video posted by the official White House X account sent social media into a frenzy. It has sparked a wave of speculations, not least regarding if something very serious is going to happen.

Per Express, the blurry video, which was deleted shortly after publication, showed what? appeared to be a woman’s boots. A female voice could be heard in the background, asking, “it’s launching soon, right?”

Text on the screen urged viewers to turn the sound on — but before anyone could figure out what it meant, the video was gone. And that’s when the speculation exploded.

On social media, discussions about the video content spiraled. Some thought it signaled a major escalation in the ongoing war with Iran. Some viewers are questioning whether the voice in the video belonged to White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.

One user asked, “Should we be worried,” while a second said, “Should I get in my underground bunker?” referring to a possible nuclear war.

Another concerned user wrote, “We’re going to die aren’t we :-(” while a fourth asked, “Nuclear bomb?”

Meanwhile, a fifth simply stated, “Someone is gonna get fired.”

At the time of writing, there has been no clear statement explaining what the videos were, why they were posted, or why one of them was deleted.

And until that happens, people online are left wondering the same thing: What exactly did “launching soon” mean?
