Mariska Hargitay Has Been Keeping A Secret For Years

Most of us are familiar with Mariska Hargitay because of the role that she plays on the television show, Law and Order. She has been entertaining us for quite some time but we don’t know much about her private life.

Recently, something was said about Mariska Hargitay and I think most of us were surprised by the news. Since she tries to stay out of the limelight, we sometimes ignore the fact that she is a kind individual from the heart.

As it turns out, she has been responsible for giving money quietly to support a variety of groups, including those who are victims of domestic violence. Not many people know about what she does, but it has made an impact that can be felt in many communities.

As the character who plays Olivia Benson, Hargitay is familiar with fighting injustice. That seems to be what she is doing in real life as well, and she is at the forefront, inspiring others to advocate for those organizations.

Nobody was expecting her to say it, but she decided to open up about the secret so that people would be familiar with it. She did so in an interview with People Magazine, where she shared that part of her life that has been kept behind the scenes.

Hargitay has often advocated for survivors of violence as Olivia Benson, but now we could see her as an individual in real life who is interested in many of the same things.

“I’ve kept this part of my life private for so long because I’ve always been a firm believer in keeping certain things sacred,” Hargitay said. “But it’s time to share it with the world. My family and I have been navigating a medical journey that has shaped a lot of who I am today. It’s been an ongoing process, but I’m finally at a place where I’m ready to talk about it.”

A lot of details were shared, but she did say that she has been going through a lot of emotional difficulties due to a family struggle with a medical problem. She had to reevaluate her life in different ways.

“It’s a rare condition that’s affected someone very close to me,” Hargitay expressed. “I’ve been balancing my personal life, my career, and my responsibilities to my family, and it’s been challenging. But it has also been a reminder of how resilient we all are when we come together.”

Those who are familiar with her personally know that this is not out of character for her. She is known for advocating for those who are unable to advocate for themselves.

In addition, she supports a number of causes, including human trafficking awareness, domestic violence, and sexual assault prevention. Now that we know how much she supports those organizations, it opens up our minds to what she has really been doing.

In the end, she expressed that ‘secrets can be powerful.’ She went on to say: “But sometimes, letting them out can help you find peace. I’m ready for the next chapter of my life, and I’m grateful to everyone who has been there for me, both publicly and privately.”
