Russian drones have struck a McDonald’s warehouse in..

A Russian drone strike hit a food warehouse used by a logistics partner of McDonald’s in Ukraine on September 25, 2026, during a wider wave of Russian attacks on Kyiv and the surrounding region.

The facility was located in Brovary district, in Kyiv Oblast, rather than at a McDonald’s restaurant in central Kyiv. Ukrainian officials said the warehouse was a civilian food-storage facility containing refrigerated areas and products used by businesses, including McDonald’s.

According to the head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration, the warehouse was struck twice during the same day. The first strike reportedly occurred at around 3 a.m., while another strike came later in the day. After the second attack, a fire broke out and the part of the facility containing food products was destroyed.

President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that a warehouse used by McDonald’s had been hit by Russian drones. Reuters also documented the aftermath of the strike and identified the site as a warehouse used by McDonald’s in the Kyiv region.

McDonald’s Ukraine subsequently confirmed the incident. The company said that nobody was injured at the warehouse and that its restaurants across Ukraine continued operating normally. The company was assessing how the damage could affect its operations and supply chain.

The warehouse strike was part of a much larger Russian drone attack on Kyiv and the surrounding area on September 25. Other locations were also hit, including residential and office buildings and other civilian infrastructure. Ukrainian authorities reported multiple deaths and dozens of injuries from the broader attacks.

The incident is significant because the damaged facility was connected to the food supply and logistics operations of a major international company operating in Ukraine. However, it is important to describe the event accurately: reports confirm that a warehouse used by a McDonald’s logistics partner was struck, not that a McDonald’s restaurant itself was attacked.

McDonald’s has continued operating its Ukrainian restaurants under wartime safety procedures. During air-raid alerts, restaurants temporarily suspend operations so employees and customers can move to shelters, with operations resuming after the danger has passed.

The warehouse attack highlights how Russia’s ongoing air campaign continues to affect civilian infrastructure and commercial operations across Ukraine, including facilities belonging to or serving international businesses.
