Chris Pratt’s Mother’s Day post sparks controversy – fans furious: “Lost all respect for you”

Chris Pratt is facing backlash after posting a Mother’s Day tribute on Instagram.

Fans are accusing Pratt of repeatedly omitting his ex-wife, Anna Faris – the mother of his eldest son, Jack – from his annual Mother’s Day tributes.

On May 10, many people took to social media to share heartfelt tributes celebrating their mothers or the mothers of their children in different ways. Pratt was no exception and shared a loving post featuring photos of his wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger, along with a beautiful message.

“The center of our universe. We are beyond grateful for you, Happy Mother’s Day,” he wrote.

Critics accused Chris Pratt of being disrespectful
Some fans, however, criticized Pratt for not including Faris in the tribute. As the mother of his eldest son, many pointed out that she, too, should receive some recognition.

“Wow. Your first kid must be so happy you recognize his mom, and by proxy, him. Oh wait…,” one comment read.

“Let it not be forgotten that you have another child,” another follower added, while a third wrote: “You have a child with another woman, doesn’t she deserve recognition today as well?”

“What about your ex-wife she’s not included how sad I lost all respect for you a long time ago,” a fourth person commented.

Some fans came to his defence
Pratt has faced similar criticism in previous years as well, after not including Faris in Mother’s Day-related posts in 2023, 2024, or 2025.

Still, despite the backlash, many fans also defended Pratt in the comments and wished his family a happy Mother’s Day.

“People acting like he should post about his ex wife is insane,” one person wrote.

“God bless you and your family Chris, ignore these sad jealous lonely people,” another commented, while a third added: “Beautiful post! Ignore the mean comments. God blessed you and your family.”
