‘Demonic’ detail spotted in image shared by Donald Trump

President Donald Trump has made the somewhat uncharacteristic move of deleting a social media post, having received heavy criticism from naysayers and followers alike.

One day before a US blockade of Iranian ports and the Strait of Hormuz was enacted, Trump posted a controversial, AI-generated picture to Truth Social, one that appeared to depict the 47th POTUS as Jesus.

The image in question showed Trump wearing white and red robes, with a glowing energy emanating from his hand as he placed it on the head of a man appearing to lie on a sick bed.

The picture was originally shared back in February by MAGA influencer Nick Adams, who reportedly intended it to show Trump healing a “sick” America through his political decisions.

Elsewhere in the image was a giant American flag, eagles soaring overhead, the Statue of Liberty, a nurse, a praying woman, and what looks to be a number of silhouetted soldiers emerging from Heaven.

In summary, it’s a bizarre work of fan-fiction that has left people not only scratching their heads, but also downright angry.

Interestingly enough, the image Trump posted to social media on Sunday was not an exact replica of the one Nick Adams posted two months ago. The two pictures are extremely alike, but the one Trump put out showed the soldiers floating above the president’s head transformed into horned, demon-like creatures.

It’s hardly a surprise that many Trump supporters were among those calling for the image to be removed – and that’s without the nod to satanic imagery.

One user on X wrote: “You are mocking Jesus.”

Another added: “You are sick. I have never regretted a vote more”.

Meanwhile, Sonny Bunch, culture editor of The Bulwark, wrote: “The thing about Donald Trump is that he’s a completely irreligious person and, as a result, doesn’t actually care about the image of himself as Jesus with demons over his shoulder.”

Adding further fuel to the fire, Trump’s posting of the so-dubbed “satanic” image comes at a time when he’s locked in a spat with Pope Leo XIV.

At the weekend, Trump branded Leo “weak on crime” and “terrible for foreign policy” after the pontiff condemned the conflict in Iran.

Trump also implied that the American-born Leo had only been chosen as the next pope because Trump himself was president.
