Sad reason Donald Trump may not attend Don Jr.’s wedding – despite his son wanting him there

Donald Trump Jr.’s wedding is right around the corner, as he’s set to wed Palm Beach socialite Bettina Anderson this weekend. But his father, President Donald Trump, might not attend.

For many people, looking back on their wedding day brings feelings of joy. It’s a celebration of love – one shared not only with the person you want to spend the rest of your life with, but also with close friends and family.

This weekend, Donald Trump Jr. is getting married for the second time following his 2018 divorce from Vanessa Trump. This time, he’s reportedly heading to a small island in the Bahamas to wed Bettina Anderson, according to CNN.

Reports say the guest list will remain small, with the ceremony expected to be an intimate affair attended only by immediate family and close friends.

But while weddings are typically events where the whole family comes together, one important family member may not make it.

Donald Trump will ‘try’ to make son Don Jr.’s wedding
President Donald Trump told reporters that although his son wants him there, he may have to miss the ceremony.

“He’d like me to go, but it’s going to be just a small little private affair, and I’m going to try and make it,” the president told reporters in the Oval Office, according to the New York Post.

According to the president, the issue largely comes down to timing.

“This is not good timing for me,” the president said. “Everything called Iran and other things.

“That’s one I can’t win on. If I do attend, I get killed. If I don’t attend, I get killed.”

He also added: “Hopefully they’re going to have a great marriage.”

An insider also told Page Six that the couple reportedly chose not to have a large White House wedding because of concerns about how it would be perceived given current events.

“They’re very aware that a lavish wedding at the White House while people are dying wouldn’t be well-received,” the insider said, according to the New York Post.
