Conspiracy theory suggests Barron Trump is a time traveler as image emerges

A bizarre conspiracy theory involving Donald Trump’s youngest son, Barron Trump, is once again blowing up online – and Lara Trump is officially over it.

The theory traces back to an 1893 children’s book called Baron Trump’s Marvelous Underground Journey, written by political author Ingersoll Lockwood. In the story, a wealthy young boy named Baron Trump lives in “Castle Trump” before heading off on a strange adventure to Russia with the help of a mysterious man named “Don.”

Because of the similarities between the fictional character and Barron Trump, internet conspiracy theories have spent years claiming the Trump family somehow has access to time travel technology. And according to Lara Trump, the rumors have gotten way out of hand.

“People have gotten so far off the rails”
Speaking on an episode of The Right View with Lara Trump, Lara addressed the theory directly.

“I’m not trying to ruin anybody or rain on any parades here. Barron Trump is not a time traveler,” she said, according to VT.

“Sorry to say it, I’m sorry, I broke a lot of people’s hearts today,” she continued, calling the theory “crazy.”

Lara admitted she was stunned by how seriously people online have taken the conspiracy.

“[The] amount of views that some of these videos get where they really dissect how this really worked out,” she said, cited by the Daily Mail.

She also pushed back on the idea entirely, telling viewers: “Name me one time traveler. Name me anybody who actually can say that that’s a real thing.”

“It doesn’t exist, but people have gotten so far off the rails on this Barron Trump being a time traveler thing,” she added.

“I don’t know what to tell you. I think it’s crazy,” Lara continued. “I’ve known Barron for 18 years. OK, he’s not a time traveler. I’ve seen him grow up.”

Online theory about Barron Trump
The online speculation has only grown over the years because of additional details found in Lockwood’s books. In The Last President, readers pointed to similarities between the fictional political storyline and modern-day events surrounding Donald Trump.

The novel follows a political outsider from New York whose election sparks unrest across the city, with one passage warning: “Mobs of vast size are organizing under the lead of anarchists and socialists, and threaten to plunder and despoil the houses of the rich who have wronged and oppressed them for so many years.”

“The Fifth Avenue Hotel will be the first to feel the fury of the mob,” the book continues. “Would the troops be in time to save it?”

Internet theorists later connected the passage to protests that followed Trump’s first inauguration, including the Women’s March in Manhattan, which ended near Trump Tower before demonstrators were stopped by police barricades.

The theory spiraled even further after online users linked Trump’s uncle, John Trump, to inventor Nikola Tesla, whose work has long fueled speculation surrounding futuristic technology and time travel.
