Gwen Stefan and Blake Shelton have been married for a little more than four years. However, there are rumors of cracks in their union.

The couple hasn’t been seen walking the red carpet since March. For the CMA Awards, they didn’t even show up, even though Blake Shelton was nominated.

Rumors about their marriage heading down the drain have spread online. Now, a source close to the couple says they have “gone through real challenges, nothing manufactured.”

“There were times when the tension was high enough that people close to them quietly wondered if the relationship could take the strain,” they told The Sun- “It wasn’t drama, it was the reality of blending two totally different worlds,” the source said, explaining that their opposite backgrounds created tension.

“Blake is as country as it gets, and Gwen grew up in Los Angeles,” the source added. Those lifestyles don’t automatically sync. They had to learn from each other.”

The insider, moreover, noted the couple were seeking help from the outside for their relationship when things took a wrong turn..

“They asked for help, and they nearly reached a point where things could have gone either way,” they told The Sun. “But they showed up for each other instead of checking out.”

However, hopefully, a picture from the Thanksgiving weekend will tell another story. Gwen Stefani posted a photo of her kissing Blake on the cheek on Instagram. The insider claimed it was well-planned.

“That was her way of saying, without words, ‘Calm down, we’re solid.’”
