President Donald Trump was joined by First Lady Melania Trump when he signed an Executive Order to modernize America’s foster care system on Thursday. Melania gave a speech before her husband signed the bill, and when she received applause, which Trump joined in, social media users noticed something special about the president’s clapping.

On Thursday, Donald Trump signed an executive order designed to expand opportunities and better support the around 400,000 children in the US who are in the foster care system.

Meanwhile, Melania Trump also signed it, as she launched the “Fostering the Future” initiative. It’s part of her “Be Best” campaign, launched in their first term at the White House, which offered scholarships to current and former foster youth nationwide.

The president said he was “delighted” to sign the initiative. He noted that the second lady, Usha Vance, was also very involved in Melania’s effort.

“We’re going to have absolutely incredible results,” the president said.

“I call on leadership from these various organizations, including the private sector, to join my effort,” Melania said from the East Room before an audience that included lawmakers, cabinet officials, and members of the foster-care community.

The first lady added: “Rise above the ease of inaction.”

“This executive order gives me tremendous pride. It is both empathetic, and strategic,” Melania Trump said. “I predict this small spark today will ignite a profound and lasting nationwide movement.”

Donald Trump said, “The Bible tells us that one of the measures of any society is how it cares for vulnerable children and orphans. So important and it is so big in the Bible.”

Melania Trump held a speech in connection with the signing of the executive order. However, the talk of the town afterward wasn’t the speech, but Donald Trump’s behavior. The president seemingly ‘struggled’ to keep his eyes open.

“Despite standing, Trump seems to be having trouble keeping his eyes open while Melania speaks,” one said, per Express.

Another added: “It seems that after ‘sleepy Joe’, we have a newer version in ‘sleepy Donald’.”

But the claim that Trump might have been tired isn’t the only one. When Melania Trump received an ovation for her speech, her husband joined in, clapping his hands as he smiled toward his wife.

But the way he was clapping sent some social media users into a frenzy.

Another user wrote, “Is that a prosthetic left hand???? OMG”

A third asked, Is it a fake arm?”

Meanwhile, others defended Trump, stating that there was nothing strange about the way he clapped.

“It looks really weird, but I just clapped to see how I do it… I do it the same way. haha,” one user wrote.

After the ovation, Trump gave Melania a kiss, saying, “Why, thank you, Melania, and our country is truly blessed to have this magnificent and very caring First Lady.

He added, “They love her. Every time I get up and make a speech, they say ‘we want our First Lady’. I say ‘what the hell, am I not good enough?’”
