Kate Middleton shares emotional message about baby loss

Kate Middleton has given birth to three healthy children. However, there are those who have their babies taken away from them during pregnancy or baby loss. Now, the Princess of Wales shares a touching message in support of Baby Loss Awareness Week.

Prince William and Kate Middleton are raising their three children to become the best they can be. But while the happy family of five is enjoying life, there are those who have suffered an unimaginable tragedy from pregnancy or baby loss.

To mark Baby Loss Awareness Week’s ‘Wave of Light’, where people around the world light a candle to raise awareness of pregnancy and baby loss, Kate Middleton has now shared a touching message to those affected through her social media.

Alongside a candle from Plum & Ashby, from which all profits go to the Tommy charity, which researches miscarriages, premature birth, and stillbirth, Kate wrote,

Catherine, 42, shared a photograph of a candle to mark Baby Loss Awareness Week’s ‘Wave of Light’, where people around the world light a candle to raise awareness of pregnancy and baby loss.

“Baby Loss Awareness Week is such an important moment to support those who have experienced the devastation of baby loss. Sending love, strength and hope to anyone affected,” Kate wrote.

The Princess of Wales has been a big supporter of charities such as Tommy’s and has previously raised awareness for them. She is highlighting Baby Loss Awareness Week every year, and in 2020, she met with families who have experienced baby loss.

When visiting the Institute of Reproductive and Development Biology at Imperial College London, Kate Middleton spoke to one woman, Clare Worgan, who recalled the unimaginable tragedy of her baby, Alice, who was stillborn.

During their conversation, Kate told Clare, “It’s so brave of you to be able to talk so openly. A lot of the research, a lot of the support for organizations, is being driven by parents who have been through this experience, and want to help others. It is so inspirational.”
