Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have called time on their marriage, according to shock reports today.

The iconic celebrity couple, officially an item since almost 20 years ago, have reportedly been living apart “since the beginning of the summer”, though the announcement of their impending divorce has come as a surprise to their millions of fans.

If Radar Online are to be believed, Kidman herself was blindsided by the decision to end their romance, with singer-songwriter Urban said to have been the one who made the call.

Actress Kidman is now rumored to be doing all she can to save their marriage, and has been taking care of the couple’s two daughters, Sunday and Faith, “holding the family together through this difficult time since Keith has been gone.”

Nevertheless, Urban has reportedly made up his mind, with an insider telling Radar Online: “Keith has acquired his own residence in Nashville and has moved out of their family home.”

The outlet go on to suggest that there’s been tension between Kidman and Urban since the death of the former’s mother last year.

“They do make a big effort to speak every day when they’re apart, but it’s quite shocking how much time they’ve spent apart since Nic’s mother died (last) September,” the aforementioned insider explained.

“It’s like they both went their separate ways and now she’s getting comfortable in a dream home in London on the other side of the world.”

Other sources have alleged that Urban has taken umbrage with the steamy sex scenes in a number of Kidman’s recent film and TV productions.

Indeed, back in July, during a radio interview with Mix 102.3’s Hayley & Max in the Morning, country music star Urban was asked: “What does Keith Urban think when he sees his beautiful wife with beautiful younger men like Zac Efron having these beautiful love scenes on TV?”

Urban refused to answer the question, while his team immediately “disconnected from Zoom”.

A source speculated following that interaction: “Keith is clearly not happy about what Nicole is doing, and his very visible anger on that Zoom call has sent talk into overdrive that the couple is at a breaking point unless Nicole gives up sex scenes.

“They clearly send him mad with jealousy.”
