Chris Pratt Responds After Marvel Fans Demand He Be ‘Fired’ Over Charlie Kirk Remarks

Chris Pratt has responded to backlash after facing criticism for comments on the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. Some fans even called for him to be removed from future Marvel projects.

Kirk, 30, co-founder of Turning Point USA, was fatally shot on September 10 during an event at Utah Valley University. Eyewitnesses reported he was struck in the neck by a single bullet, collapsing in his chair before being pronounced dead despite emergency efforts.

The FBI identified the alleged shooter as Tyler Robinson, 22, who remains in custody facing aggravated murder and firearm charges. Prosecutors may seek the death penalty. Kirk’s wife, Erika, and their two young children have since received widespread public sympathy.

Shortly after news of the killing, Pratt posted on X: “Praying for Charlie Kirk right now, for his wife and young children, for our country. We need God’s grace. God help us.” While intended as a message of compassion, it drew swift backlash, with some accusing him of aligning with Kirk’s politics.
