How the Secret Service will treat Barron Trump’s girlfriend

Barron Trump has been rumored to have been involved in his first romantic relationship. Rumors suggest he has a girlfriend, which, to the best of public knowledge, and his father, Donald, is a first. Being the girlfriend of someone whom the Secret Service is following could be a tricky thing. A People magazine source now reveals exactly how Barron and his new relationship are being handled.

19-year-old Barron Trump began his studies at Stern Business School at New York University last year. Being in college means many things, but for many students, it’s their first time living independently, experiencing life, and trying new things. That could include attending your first party or meeting your first love, which ultimately could become the love of your life.

But even though you might come from a very wealthy family, that doesn’t mean you will get to enjoy all these things. For Barron Trump, his father’s status as the President of the United States prevented him from doing many of those things. While it might not be Barron himself saying no to these opportunities, the Secret Service, responsible for his safety, might be stepping in instead.

Much of Barron Trump’s life remains a mystery, considering how little he has been seen in public. The 19-year-old has never conducted an interview, and whether that will change in the coming years, only time will tell.

Some reports from the New York University campus suggest that Barron is a “ladies man,” but the fact that the Secret Service follows him everywhere makes things quite tricky. However, according to recent rumors, that hasn’t stopped Barron from not only meeting friends – but a girlfriend.

Details about the individual have not been disclosed. However, The Spun, a social media-focused news site, states that her name is Sarah Jones.

Barron Trump is rumored to have a girlfriend
Barron has benefited from Secret Service protection since leaving the White House. The 19-year-old has continued having agents around him as he studies at NYU, for example, driving him to and from school.

The federal law enforcement agency previously confirmed that Barron would receive protection, but it didn’t specify exactly how. Meanwhile, US Secret Service Chief of Communications Anthony Guglielmi told Newsweek last year: “The President-elect has been receiving heightened Secret Service protection, and this level of security will be maintained moving forward.”

“While we cannot share specific details to ensure the integrity of our operations, family members and executive staff of the President-elect may also be afforded protection in accordance with federal law.”

Guglielmi concluded: “Enhanced security measures around Palm Beach County, Florida, and New York City are also being coordinated. The Secret Service is committed to working with local partners in these cities to keep the community informed about any potential impacts to the public.”

Being a student on campus and casually wanting to approach Barron and speak to him might not be the easiest thing. The agents are there to protect him, but the fact that people protected by the Secret Service form friendships and engage in romantic relationships isn’t new.

How the Secret Service deals with Barron Trump’s alleged girlfriend
But where do agents draw the line about not intruding on the private life of the person they are protecting? Barron might feel protected by the Secret Service, but can he have a relationship without them watching him closely?

Speaking to People Magazine in early June, a political source said, “He can have a girlfriend as the Secret Service guys are well-versed on how to handle this. Anyone who says being under Secret Service protection would keep him from dating is way off.”

The source added that, over the years, the agents have seen pretty much everything while protecting families of all ages, saying that “their stories could fill an X-rated novel!”

When Donald Trump took office for the first time in January 2017, Barron was the only one of his children who lived at the White House. His stepsiblings, Donald Jr, Eric, and Ivanka, are all more than 20 years his senior, and therefore, one can speculate that security looks different for all of them.

Barron was only 14 years old when he and his parents left the White House after the 2020 presidential election loss. Before him, many other children of presidents have lived at the White House, and for some, Secret Service protection wasn’t always a positive experience.

Jenna Bush revealed how Secret Service agents contributed to “worst date ever”
For example, Jenna Bush, the daughter of George W. Bush and Laura Bush, was a teenager and college student while living at the White House. One time, while talking to her former Today Show co-host Hoda Kotb, she recalled an incident when her then-boyfriend, now-husband, Henry had to “sneak out” from the White House after he had slept over after a night out.

“Henry said he woke up and he looked around and he was like, ‘Aaaaaaaah’ because he worked for my dad,” Jenna said. “‘Well have fun,’” she remembered telling her then-boyfriend. “I didn’t care. Bye!”

In another interview, Jenna revealed that Henry “got caught” by the Secret Service. But that wasn’t the only time she and Henry were involved in a situation with the Secret Service agents. In fact, Jenna Bush called it the “worst date” ever.

“My worst first date involved the Secret Service, let’s just leave it at that,” Jenna said, per People. “It was with Henry and his car ran out of gas and went backwards and hit the Secret Service.”

Jenna, who today has three children with Henry, further recalled how Henry tried stopping at the corner gas station when he realized he was out of fuel. However, before he could get there, his car stopped and rolled down the hill straight into the Secret Service vehicle.

“He started to go up the hill and then boop, crash,” Jenna said. “I was laughing but he was horrified.”
