Denise Richards reveals one rule for herself and daughter

It seems that Denise Richards is not as ‘cool’ a parent as some people might have thought of her. She has made it clear that while she allows her children freedom, she also has some rules for them.

When her daughter joined OnlyFans to be an adult entertainer, people were incredibly critical of the decision. However, it seems now that Denise is revealing exactly how that works.

Denise Richard’s daughter, Sami Sheen, who she shares with ex-husband Charlie Sheen announced that she would be joining the adult entertainment platform OnlyFans on her 18th birthday.

Now, the 20-year-old seems to be having a lot of success on the platform, which encouraged her mother to also debut herself on it back in June 2022.

Richards, who is known for appearing on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, was supportive of her teenage daughter’s decision at the time and still remains supportive of her career choice.

“Sami I will always support you & always have your back,” the actress left in a comment for her.” According to sources, Sami Sheen joined OnlyFans to help her purchase an apartment because she realized working in a candy shop would not help her achieve her goal.

“So I went to the next best thing and made an OnlyFans,” she shared at the time.

She has shared that in the two years of her OnlyFans career, she has met a lot of cool people and that it has opened a lot of doors previously closed to her.

“It’s been really rewarding being my own boss and making my own hours and being able to do the things I’ve always wanted to do,” she shared.

She also shared that she gets inspiration from other creators on the platform.

But of course, where there is praise, there is also criticism. A lot of people criticized her decision to join the platform, which upset her mother because it reminded her of the ire she drew from people for owning her own sexuality. She said, “It bothered me that Sami was getting backlash for owning her own sexuality and her being a woman and doing what she wanted to.”

To show her support for her daughter, she also joined OnlyFans, a move Sami said was ‘great.’

“I always just tell her I wish she waited a little bit because she started it right after I did,” Sami Sheen shared about her mother’s decision to join the platform. “But yeah, it doesn’t bother me at all,” she concluded.

The mother-daughter duo also have a strict rule they enforce with one another. The rule is that they will not look at what the other is posting on the platform.

Sami was asked if they checked out each others pages, she said, “No, that would be weird.”

Denise Richards also echoed the same thoughts and said, “Yes, we draw a line there.” Sami’s younger sister, who is also shared by Denise Richards with Charlie Sheen, also had an opinion on her mother’s OnlyFans profile and said, “Whatever makes her happy.”

This interview was held to promote Denise’s upcoming reality show on Brave titled Denise Richards & Her Wild Things. The show debuts early next month.

The show will focus on Richards’ life with her husband Aaron Phyphers, and will also feature appearances by her daughters Sami and Lola, as well as her youngest Eloise Richards.

Richards has said the show will just be the family ‘trying to be themselves’ as that is always what she strives to show.
