Adorable dog hears favorite song and starts jamming

The online community is going wild over a heart melting clip that shows an adorable dog jamming out to his favorite song.

Many pet parents have noticed their pups reacting in adorable ways to music and the online population is soaking up every bit of the cuteness overload.

While we know that dogs have a keen sense of hearing and can pick up on tones, pitches, and rhythms that we might not even notice, we don’t fully understand how our four-legged besties experience music.

According to Psychology Today, it is “believed that dogs may be as discerning as humans when it comes to musical preference.” And studies show that certain types of music can impact a dog’s mood.

Classical music often calms dogs, while faster beats, like rock or pop, might get them more excited. Just like humans, individual dogs have their own preferences – some are Beethoven fans, while others might vibe with Billie Eilish.

Hillbilly howlers
And then there’s a handful of furry social media stars who transform into country music crooners when Chris Stapleton’s song, “Tennessee Whiskey” is played.

In one clip, a Dachshund is seen waking from a deep sleep, her ears perking up when she hears her human say: “Alexa play ‘Tennessee Whiskey’ by Chris Stapleton.”

The sausage dog immediately starts singing along, perfectly emulating the musician.

“The first note is all she needs,” the pup’s parent writes before viewers are treated to the pup’s singing session.

In a second clip, another owner shows her dog Tank and his ability to make the distinction between different songs.

First, she plays Cardi B and while he looks curious, it’s obvious he’s very particular with his preferred musical genre.

“Tank the Bully sings to his favorite song, ‘Tennessee Whiskey’ by Chris Stapleton. He will only sing to this song!!! Oh and he is not a Cardi B fan haha,” she captions the video that’s been seen by more than 5.2 million people.

“Crazy that it actually sounds like he’s trying to match the notes,” one user writes of the American Pit Bull who’s singing his heart out. “Man, there was a couple times where he was actually on key,” writes a second netizen.

Hip hop hound
A third shares, “He knew it was coming…took a big sigh and everything to get them lungs ready to serenade mama. What a treasure,” while another adds, “When your dog was a country singing legend in his previous life.”

In a separate clip, viewers see a stoic German Shepherd who starts jamming to the hip hop song “Low” by Flo Rida and T-Pain in the most adorable way.

The dog, sitting in the car, appears to be dancing with her ears that wiggle, perk forward, helicopter and flap to the beat.

Though there is a lot of speculation about the pooch’s ears being manipulated by his human who’s not visible, people are still gushing over the four-legged star of the feel-good video.

“It’s the point that it makes people smile watching it even if someone is doing it to their dog,” writes one netizen. A second, finding joy in watching the dog ear dance, pens: “I thoroughly enjoyed this and wanted to believe the dog really was that talented! So, leave me in my own little bubble, please.”

“Seriously, who cares if it’s fake? It’s funny,” writes a third, while another adds, “Ahhh…yes human. Thaaaaaat’s it. Massage my dog neck.”
