Kamala Called Trump To Concede; Team Trump Reveals What She Said

Vice President Kamala Harris called President-elect Donald Trump on Wednesday to concede in the presidential race.

Now, Trump’s team has revealed some of what was discussed on the call between the two leaders.

Harris called Trump to congratulate him, per a senior Harris aide. Her campaign manager, Jen O’Malley Dillon, told campaign staff that Harris told Trump she would make sure there was a peaceful handover of power from Biden’s government to Trump’s.

“You left everything on the field. You built a first-rate, historic presidential campaign in basically 90 days. You navigated things that no one has ever had to navigate, and likely no one will ever have to again. Losing is unfathomably painful. It is hard. This will take a long time to process. But the work of protecting America from the impacts of a Trump presidency starts now,” O’Malley Dillon wrote to the staff.

Trump’s campaign communications director, Steven Cheung, said Trump “acknowledged Vice President Harris on her strength, professionalism, and tenacity throughout the campaign, and both leaders agreed on the importance of unifying the country.”

This comes as Trump was projected to win Arizona, meaning he won every battleground state over Harris in the 2024 race.

With the call in Arizona, Trump has won all seven competitive states: Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia, Michigan, Wisconsin, Nevada, and Arizona.

Trump now has 312 Electoral College votes, which is the most of any candidate.

Polling leading up to the election showed that the race was very close. Trump was ahead of Harris by an average of 2.8 points going into Election Day. In Arizona, a little more money has been spent on election ads this year than it did in 2020.

“In 2020, $427 million was spent in the state by both parties for all political races. That number has now increased to $487 million spent in the state for all political races, with Democrats spending $308 million to $147 million for Republicans. For the 2024 presidential race in the state, Democrats outspent Republicans $122 million to $83 million,” the Daily Wire noted.

Vice President-elect J.D. Vance was fired up after Trump has been declared the winner over Harris.

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Vance thanked his family and supporters after Republicans had a fantastic election night.

“THANK YOU! To my beautiful wife for making it possible to do this. To President Donald J. Trump, for giving me such an opportunity to serve our country at this level. And to the American people, for their trust. I will never stop fighting for ALL of you,” Vance tweeted.

Trump said “God spared [his] life for a reason” during his victory speech at Trump Headquarters early Wednesday morning.

Trump, who has been the target of two assassination attempts since July, shared his appreciation for a second presidency during his 25-minute speech from West Palm Beach, Florida.

“This is a magnificent victory for the American people that will allow us to make America great again. And in addition to having won the battleground states of North Carolina — I love these places — Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, we are now winning in Michigan, Arizona, Nevada, and Alaska, which would result in us carrying at least 315 electoral votes. But it’s much easier doing what the networks did, or whoever called it, because there was no other path. There was no other path to victory. We also have won the popular vote. That was great. That was great,” Trump said as the crowd cheered and chanted “USA! USA!”

“Many people have told me that God spared my life for a reason, and that reason was to save our country and to restore America to greatness,” Trump said. “And now we are going to fulfill that mission together.”

“Thank you. Thank you very much. Winning the popular vote was very nice, I will tell you. It’s a great feeling of love. We have a great feeling of love in this very large room, with unbelievable people standing by my side. These people have been incredible. They have made the journey with me and we are going to make you very happy. We will make you very proud of your vote,” he said.
