Firefighter Saves Toddler from Burning Building in Granbury, Texas

In a dramatic and heart-stopping moment, volunteer firefighters in Granbury, Texas, rescued a two-year-old boy from a blazing apartment fire on Sunday night. Body camera footage captured the intense scene, showing the split-second decision-making that saved the child’s life.

The fire had quickly engulfed the building, and while the boy’s mother managed to escape with her four-year-old son, the flames and thick smoke made it impossible to reach her youngest. Desperate and frantic, she was unable to reach her toddler in time.

But hope arrived in the form of the Granbury Fire Department’s brave volunteer firefighters. With swift action and remarkable teamwork, they broke through a window and pulled the boy to safety just as the fire continued to rage.

The child was immediately transported to the hospital for treatment of carbon monoxide poisoning. Thankfully, his mother, Phylicia Keen, shared with the BBC that her son has been released from the hospital and is now “doing well.”

This heroic rescue serves as a reminder of the courage and quick thinking of first responders who risk their lives to save others in the most critical moments.
