WATCH: Tom Homan Snaps Back At Selena Gomez After Hysterical Breakdown Over Deportations

Border Czar Tom Homan responded to Selena Gomez’s emotional outburst that gained widespread attention on Fox News Monday afternoon, asserting that he has “no apologies” and intends to continue his efforts unabated. A video featuring the pop singer in tears over President Donald Trump’s immigration policies was removed shortly after it gained traction online.

In the footage, Gomez expressed her anguish, stating, “All my people are getting attacked. The children. I don’t understand. I’m so sorry. I wish I could do something, but I can’t. I don’t know what to do,” accompanied by a Mexican flag emoji. Despite her heartfelt appeal, Homan maintained his resolute position on border enforcement.

Gomez, who has consistently advocated for immigration reform, encountered criticism on social media, with many asserting that she is disconnected from the realities of border security. In light of the negative feedback, Gomez shared another message on her Instagram Story, remarking, “Apparently, it’s not okay to show empathy for people.”

During an interview with Fox News on Monday, Homan was prompted to address Gomez’s now-removed video and the broader concerns regarding immigration enforcement’s impact on families. “I don’t think we arrested any families,” Homan stated. “We’ve arrested public safety threats and national security threats, bottom line. And look, President Trump won the election on this one issue—securing our border and saving lives.”

Homan elaborated, “What happened on our southern border the last four years is the biggest national security threat this country’s seen, at least in my lifetime, because we’ve got over two million known gotaways. We’ve got a 600% increase in sex trafficking, we’ve got a record number of terrorists crossing the border on the terrorist watch list, and we have a quarter million Americans dying from fentanyl coming across the open border.”

Despite facing criticism from various celebrities and activists, Homan emphasized that the administration remains steadfast in its mission. “We’re going to do this job.”

The operation will proceed without any apologies. Our objective is to enhance the safety of our community. Once we secure the border and advance this initiative, there will be a noticeable decline in fentanyl-related fatalities, a reduction in crimes committed by illegal immigrants, and a decrease in sex trafficking activities. The Border Czar concluded by stating, “This is all for the benefit of our nation, and we will persist in striving towards these objectives. There will be no apologies. We are progressing forward.”

Since assuming office on January 20, the Trump administration has maintained a firm stance on immigration policies. A significant measure reinstated is the “Remain in Mexico” program, which mandates that asylum seekers remain outside the United States while their claims are adjudicated. Furthermore, the administration has discontinued the use of the CBP One app introduced by Biden and has intensified deportation efforts.

These initiatives have garnered substantial public support, with surveys conducted by both The New York Times and Fox News indicating that a majority of Americans endorse the deportation of criminals and gang affiliates. Federal agencies, including the DEA and ATF, have been granted enhanced powers to work in conjunction with ICE to implement enforcement actions.

In spite of the heartfelt appeals from individuals like Gomez and others in the entertainment industry, the Trump administration remains steadfast. The government is focused on executing large-scale deportations, aiming to address the situation of approximately 11 million undocumented immigrants currently living in the United States.
