This Woman’s Husband…

A woman is at home when she hears someone knocking at her door.

She goes to the door opens it and sees a man standing there. He asks the lady,

She slams the door in disgust. The next morning she hears a knock at the door, its the same man and he asks the same question to the woman,

“Do you have a Vagina?”

She slams the door again. Later that night when her husband gets home she tell him what has happened for the last two days.

The husband tells his wife in a loving and concerned voice, “Honey,

I am taking an off tomorrow so as to be home, just incase this guy shows up again.”

The story starts on a quiet evening, when Sarah, a woman in her late thirties, is at home alone. Her husband, Tom, is away on a business trip. Sarah is enjoying some much-needed time to herself, reading a book in the living room, when suddenly, she hears a sharp knock on the door.

Curious, Sarah gets up and walks to the door, wondering who could be visiting. She opens it and finds a man standing there. He is tall, with unkempt hair, wearing a worn-out jacket and a strange, almost vacant expression.

Without preamble, the man looks at her and asks, “Do you have a vagina?”

Stunned by the bizarre question, Sarah’s face reddens in both confusion and disgust. Her instinct takes over, and she quickly slams the door without saying a word.

The next morning, Sarah dismisses the strange encounter from the day before, attributing it to some kind of misunderstanding. But as she’s sipping her coffee, she hears that same knock again, followed by the same question: “Do you have a vagina?”

This time, she doesn’t even hesitate before slamming the door shut, the sound of it echoing through the hallway. Sarah is shaken but resolute. She had no idea what this man was after, but there was no way she was going to entertain his strange question.

Later that evening, when Tom finally returns home from his business trip, Sarah is eager to tell him about the disturbing events. Over dinner, she recounts everything—the first knock, the question, the second knock, and the repetition of the same bizarre inquiry.

Tom listens carefully, his brow furrowed with concern. When she finishes telling him, he reaches for her hand and speaks with both warmth and care.

“Honey,” he says, “I’m taking the day off tomorrow. I’ll be home with you. Just in case that guy shows up again. We need to figure out what this is all about.”

His loving gesture makes Sarah feel better, though she’s still uneasy. The fact that the same strange man showed up twice, asking the same question, unsettles her. But with Tom by her side, she feels more secure.

The next morning, Tom is there, sitting by the window, keeping a watchful eye on the door, while Sarah anxiously goes about her day, hoping that whatever this man’s intentions were, they would be cleared up soon.

Hours pass, and Sarah begins to feel as though maybe they were overreacting. Then, as the clock strikes noon, the knock comes again. Both Sarah and Tom stand frozen, hearts racing. Tom motions for Sarah to stay back as he cautiously opens the door.

There, standing on the doorstep once again, is the same man. Before Sarah can say anything, Tom steps forward.

“Who are you, and why do you keep asking my wife that question?” Tom demands, his voice calm but firm.

The man blinks, almost confused by the confrontation. Then, he finally speaks.

“I’m so sorry,” he says, his voice strangely apologetic. “I’m from a new wellness clinic down the street. We’re conducting a survey about women’s health, and part of our research involves asking questions to assess if certain services might be useful. I must’ve gotten the wrong house, and I honestly didn’t mean to make anyone uncomfortable.”

The realization hits Sarah like a ton of bricks, and she lets out a sigh of relief. The man wasn’t a threat—he was just awkwardly going about his job, clearly in need of better training.

“Next time,” Sarah says, after taking a deep breath, “perhaps you should introduce yourself before asking personal questions.”

Tom chuckles, giving Sarah a reassuring pat on the back. “I think we’ve learned to always check who’s knocking before opening the door.”

With a sheepish apology, the man leaves, and Tom and Sarah share a quiet laugh, relieved that what seemed like a terrifying situation turned out to be a misunderstanding. From then on, they made sure to double-check who was at their door, never taking their safety for granted.
