Sad update on Barron Trump’s college experience as he ends second year at NYU

Barron Trump has completed two years of college. The 20-year-old son of Donald Trump’s days at NYU has been quite an opertion, with Secret Service agents following him around. Meanwhile, making friends has been hard, and now, a new, sad claim about his college experience has been made.

Barron’s college journey began in 2024 at NYU’s Stern Business School in New York City. Media coverage focused not on his actions but on his adjustment to campus life.

Barron was said to have been followed around campus by Secret Service agents, who drove him to and from school. One student at the NYU campus said they felt “really bad for him” as he “did not choose this life.”

Meanwhile, Barron was reportedly trying to make new friends on campus by playing video games together. As Barron is constantly surrounded by Secret Service agents, having a conversation with him in the first place is most likely tricky.

According to TMZ, he has invited them to join him on Discord, a popular gaming platform where users play games and chat. Since he’s a big soccer fan, he plays the popular EA Sports FC 25.

Melania Trump said Barron Trump being a “normal student” is “impossible”
In December 2024, while appearing on Fox and Friends, she spoke about Barron and his college experience, stating that his time at NYU would be very different from that of the other students.

“I don’t think it’s possible for him to be a normal student. His experience at college it’s very different than any other kid,” Melania Trump said. “He’s very strong and he knows that he’s in a different position than other children.”

After his first year at NYU’s Stern School, Barron transferred to the Washington, D.C., campus when his parents returned to the White House.

The Daily Mail reported that the DC campus accepts up to 120 students each semester. Courses are available for those pursuing careers in politics, history, economics, journalism, and public policy.

Moreover, as Barron studies at the prestigious Stern Business School, the NYU Washington, DC, campus is also home to the Stern Executive MBA degree program. That will allow Barron to complete an MBA in two years’ time. Between 60 and 100 students enroll in that specific program, which costs $32,811 in undergraduate tuition.

Source claims Barron’s presence at NYU is “ghostly”
But while the move back to Washington is most likely a good thing for Barron, some question why he is living at “home.”

“Why is he living at home? He’s in his second year of college. He should be out living his life like the rest of his classmates,” one person wrote on Facebook, per OK! Magazine.

“I think give the kid some room so he can have a life … He’s over 18, leave the kid alone. Let him know what life is,” a second added.

A third said, “People just might dislike him automatically because of who his father is. Not going to be an easy life for him.”

“Mama’s boy,” a fourth commented.

Sadly, new reports suggest that Barron’s college experience is very different from his classmates’. Not only does he not get to experience college life by living in a dorm, but also, it appears he can’t even hand out his number to friends.

Per OK! Magazine, the source said, “Classmates described his campus presence as almost ghostly. He was there, and then he was not. He did not hand out his phone number to new acquaintances the way other first-year students do.”
