Donald Trump has made the Iran war his priority. However, a statement from the president the day he left for China has sparked fury. Not only among those who don’t support him, but also from die-hard MAGA fans.

Donald Trump is back in the U.S after his visit to China. While the president hasn’t given clear answers on what the U.S. really achieved in the east and what deals were made, some MAGA fans had a different view of Trump when he arrived on U.S. soil than when he left. All because of a shocking comment about Americans and their financial situation.

As Trump left the White House to travel to China, one reporter asked Trump whether he had thought about how the war in Iran and the money it costs have affected ordinary families.

The president was not interested in answering the question in full, but instead said, “Not even a little bit.”

Trump added, “The only thing that matters when I’m talking about Iran, they can’t have a nuclear weapon. I don’t think about Americans’ financial situation, I don’t think about anybody.”

It’s safe to say his supporters were unhappy with what Donald Trump said.

Trump accused of ‘disgusting betrayal’ by MAGA fans
Pro-MAGA journalist Eric Spracklen posted on X: “This is not the same man I voted for. I honestly can’t even recognize him anymore. An absolutely disgusting betrayal. MAGA boomers please wake up, PRESIDENT TRUMP DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU.”

Another Trump supporter wrote: “I just can’t get over how badly this is going to look in the morning, nevermind how many times this will run during the midterms. He couldn’t have handed this to the Dems any better. He will never listen to his advisors, and the hubris will be his downfall. And unfortunately we will have to live with the socialists that come next. President Trump; SMARTEN UP!!!”

Even former MAGA ally Alex Jones, who had previously defended the president and his actions, was angry about the comment, calling it “truly shocking.”

“You’re running around with your gold toilets and gold everywhere, and all of your kids making tonnes of money off of all the bitcoin, whatever, the point is this is a Marie Antoinette let them eat cake,” Jones said.

“Out of control”
“Trump is literally saying ‘let them eat cake’ here and you could not hand the Democrats a better weapon six months out from the midterms, this will be in TV ads by tomorrow,” Alex Jones added. “This is just out of control. I think the doctors are right, I’m not saying this is a fact but I’ve studied it and I’ve seen it in family, I think he has frontal lobe cerebral cortex dementia.”
