Woman criticized for wearing a G-string bikini at her age – but her response is priceless

Elle Anthony is on a mission to inspire women everywhere to embrace their bodies, no matter their age or shape.

The 55-year-old TikTok star recently shared a heartfelt video promoting body positivity — and naturally, it sparked some heated reactions online.

Summer is just around the corner, which means our bodies might get a little extra attention, whether we like it or not.

For decades, women have been haunted by the idea of the perfect “summer body” — toned arms, flat abs, zero cellulite.

Some call it “bikini-ready” or simply a “beach body.” In the lead-up to summer, the pressure to fit this impossible standard is everywhere: from gym ads to the latest diet craze. It’s like you have to look a certain way to enjoy warm weather or take a vacation — otherwise, risk being judged.

A few years ago, the US-based TikTok creator Elle Anthony caught a lot of attention when she took to social media to remind everyone to feel confident rocking their beachwear this summer.

In her video, Elle, who calls herself a “cougar,” tackled the nonstop buzz around “summer beach bodies,” telling her followers, “Summer is here, and everyone is always talking about getting their beach body ready.”

She emphasized that confidence and mindset matter far more than societal expectations: “Baby, if you’re ready to go to the beach and you have no shame about what your body looks like in a bathing suit, or surf shorts, or swim shorts, then you’re summer beach body ready.”

Elle encouraged women to wear whatever makes them feel good:

“Wear that bikini, wear that G-string, wear those short shorts, whatever you’re into. This is your summer.” She also reminded viewers that society alone creates unnecessary judgments, adding, “Remember, it’s only society that puts criticisms and labels and standards on us that we didn’t even ask for.”

”Love you, do you, be you, be happy, be free.”

Despite her empowering message, not everyone agreed. Some critics wrote things like, “No thanks. I’ve seen enough,” or argued, “It all depends on what shape you are,” while others insisted confidence doesn’t require revealing clothing: “No human ever needs to wear a ‘G-string’ at the beach. Dress modestly and have fun.”

Regardless of the backlash, Elle continues to proudly showcase her body in bold outfits and swimwear.

She’s been banned from TikTok multiple times for posting revealing photos that the platform didn’t appreciate. But now she’s back with her account @WisewomanElle, continuing to promote her message of body positivity. According to her bio she’s a curvy, former Christian who has embraced work in the sex industry.

At 55, she proves that age doesn’t limit confidence, self-expression, or the ability to inspire women to embrace their bodies and feel fabulous in their own skin.

Love it or hate it, Elle Anthony is challenging society’s rules about age, bodies, and confidence. Where do you stand?
