Trump slams TIME magazine for ‘worst of all time’ picture of him

President Donald Trump is receiving unprecedented praise for his role in brokering a historic peace deal between Israel and Hamas.

While he’s being widely praised for his peacemaking efforts, TIME Magazine’s latest cover has now sparked his outrage.

A low angle against a bright sky
President Donald Trump is once again making headlines — but not just for his historic peacemaking efforts between Israel and Hamas, but for his reaction to TIME Magazine’s latest cover. The magazine celebrated Trump’s role in brokering a Gaza ceasefire and hailed it as “His Triumph,” yet the president erupted over the accompanying photograph.

“Time Magazine wrote a relatively good story about me, but the picture may be the Worst of All Time,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “They ‘disappeared’ my hair, and then had something floating on top of my head that looked like a floating crown, but an extremely small one. Really weird!”

The photo, taken from a low angle against a bright sky, seemed to minimize the volume of Trump’s signature blond hair — an issue that has long drawn public fascination. Trump, 79, made his displeasure clear: “I never liked taking pictures from underneath angles, but this is a super bad picture, and deserves to be called out. What are they doing, and why?”

While the cover image drew criticism from Trump, he did express appreciation for the magazine’s story, which highlighted the painstaking efforts by Trump, Jared Kushner, and envoy Steve Witkoff to broker peace.

“I’m good at solving wars”
Trump’s recent travels to Israel and Egypt culminated in the signing of a declaration involving 20 global leaders, including representatives from Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey, and resulted in the release of hundreds of Palestinian prisoners under the ceasefire agreement.

“I’m good at solving wars. I’m good at making peace,” Trump told the BBC at the Egyptian summit.

TIME Magazine’s cover, featuring Trump in his signature navy suit and red tie, frames the peace deal as a potential “signature achievement” of his second term and a strategic turning point in the Middle East.

Over the years, Trump has faced speculation about secret comb-overs or hair transplants, with cosmetic surgeon Gary Linkov suggesting the president may have had at least five procedures.

Trump has repeatedly insisted his hair is real: “I don’t wear a toupee. It’s my hair. It’s my hair. I swear.”

Trump first appeared on TIME’s cover in 1989 and is a two-time Person of the Year. Yet his relationship with the magazine has always been complicated: he criticized the outlet for not naming him Person of the Year in 2015, and previously dismissed its 100 Most Influential People list as a “joke.”
