“Embarrasing” Royal fan furious over Charles & Camilla’s Trump invite

Donald Trump and the Royal Family have a special history. During his first State Visit to the UK, he spent time with Queen Elizabeth II and King Charles. However, the visit wasn’t as successful as expected, at least from the perspective of the Royal Family members. In September, the president will meet with King Charles and Queen Camilla as he travels to the UK for a second state visit. But not all fans are pleased with it.

President Donald Trump is in hot water following the latest development in the Jeffrey Epstein files. In the meantime, planning for what comes next is in full force, and it’s now been confirmed that he is to travel to the UK in September for a state visit. However, he will not only be meeting with politicians, but with royalty as well.

On social media, the Royal Family announced Monday that both Donald and his wife, Melania, will be hosted by King Charles and Queen Camilla from September 17 to September 19.

“His Majesty The King will host The President of the United Sates of America, Donald J Trump, accompanied by te First Lady, Melania Trump, for a State Visit to the UK,” the post on the Royal Family’s social media read, alongside a photo of the four from the last state visit in 2019.

Donald Trump has been strict with his European allies in the first few months of his second term as president. UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has made one visit to the White House to engage in meetings with Trump. Still, in the long run, the Royal Family has become very important when it comes to the softer diplomacy surrounding the relationship between the UK and the US.

Therefore, a State Visit between Trump and the Royal Family could become crucial for the US and UK relations moving forward. It’s quite a unique opportunity – and while King Charles doesn’t get involved in politics, it could still make a huge difference.

Donald Trump to visit King Charles & Queen Camilla as part of UK State Visit
When Prime Minister Keir Starmer visited Trump in late February, he handed a personal letter from King Charles. He said it was an invitation for an “unprecedented second state visit,”

“This is really special. This has never happened before. Unprecedented,” Starmer said. “I think that just symbolizes the strength of the relationship between us. “I think the last state visit was a tremendous success. His Majesty the King wants to make this even better than that. So, this is – this is truly historic.”

Donald Trump continued by describing Charles as a “great, great gentlemen,” and said he had a “beautiful” signature.

So now, it’s official that Donald and Melania will visit King Charles and Queen Camilla. Initially, it was thought that the meeting would take place at one of Charles’ Scottish homes for the summer break, and that an additional longer visit would follow.

However, as per Newsweek, protocol states that private meetings cannot be arranged before a state visit. Also, President Donald Trump and King Charles’ respective schedules made it impossible to arrange.

“His Majesty has known President Trump for many years and looks forward to hosting him and the First Lady later this year,” a palace aide told People.

Fans call Royal Family’s State Visit invite to Donald Trump “embarrassing”
As the news was made public, the reactions among fans were not only positive. Many raged in the comment section on the Royal Family’s social media post.

“Is this the first time the royals have hosted a convicted felon?” one user claimed.

“Bring on the protests. London does not accept felons,” another stated.

A third asked, Why do you want to host him? HE IS NOT WORTHY OF A VISIT WITH THE KING!” while a fourth added, “Absolutely Disgraceful.”

A fifth person said, “It’s embarrassing that in this political landscape you would allow this visit to proceed. I’m truly disappointed. Truly and I have supported the Royal family through thick and thin.”

Still, others showed great appreciation for the meeting.

“History in the making. President Trump returns to the world stage with strength, class, and unapologetic leadership the kind that commands respect, not just attendance,” one user wrote.

“My bet is this event is more important than anyone could ever dream,” another X user said, while a third stated, “Meeting of two of the most powerful leaders in the world. Great opportunity for big decisions to be taken that benefit the world.”

Trump was called “rude” by Queen Elizabeth
Donald Trump and King Charles have been said to have a great relationship, as Melania even revealed that they are pen pals. Meanwhile, that’s not the case between the president and the late Queen Elizabeth. They met for the first time in 2018, and author Craig Brown wrote in his biography Voyage Around The Queen, which was serialized in the Daily Mail, that the queen found him “very rude.”

“Over the course of her reign, Her Majesty entertained many controversial foreign leaders, including Bashar al-Assad, Robert Mugabe, Idi Amin, Donald Trump, Emperor Hirohito and Vladimir Putin,” Brown wrote.

“She may not have found their company convivial; upon their departure, she may even have voiced a discreet word of disapproval,” he continued. “A few weeks after President Trump’s visit, for instance, she confided in one lunch guest that she found him ‘very rude’: she particularly disliked the way he couldn’t stop looking over her shoulder, as though in search of others more interesting.

Craig Brown concluded: “She also believed President Trump ‘must have some sort of arrangement’ with his wife Melania, or else why would she have remained married to him?”
