Sally Field’s worst on-screen kiss might be a surprise

Legendary actress Sally Field, 76, recently revealed her worst on-screen kiss during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live. After some hesitation, she named her former boyfriend and Smokey and the Bandit co-star Burt Reynolds.

Despite dating at the time, Field said the kissing scenes were difficult: “It just was not something he really did for you.” She even recalled “a lot of drooling.” Field and Reynolds dated for five years after meeting on set in 1977.

Though Reynolds later expressed regret about their relationship, Field told Variety she cut ties with him for the last 30 years of his life, calling him “not good for me in any way.”

Still active today, Field continues to earn praise for her work—and remains as candid and respected as ever.
