The legendary actor and martial artist passed away at 86, just a day after being hospitalized in Hawaii for an undisclosed medical emergency.

Chuck Norris, the legendary martial artist and actor best known for Walker, Texas Ranger and countless action films, passed away Thursday, March 19. He spent his final days at his longtime Kauai vacation home, according to Realtor.

A $70 million legacy
Now, new details reveal the staggering net worth and sprawling property empire Norris built over decades, showcasing the fortune he amassed through Hollywood and martial arts.

At the time of his death, Norris’ wealth was estimated at around $70 million, including several high-value real estate holdings, reports Celebrity Net Worth. His properties included luxurious family homes, ranches, and a private island retreat.

How much he earned on Walker, Texas Ranger
According to Fortune, Chuck Norris’ early film paychecks were tiny by Hollywood standards. He earned just $10,000 for his 1976 debut Breaker! Breaker!, which jumped to $40,000 for Good Guys Wear Black the next year.

By 1978, he was making $125,000 for A Force of One, and $250,000 for An Eye for an Eye in 1980.

His earnings skyrocketed when he landed the lead role in Walker, Texas Ranger, commanding $375,000 per episode across 203 episodes, a sum that dwarfed every other cast member’s pay.

Despite the massive per-episode salary, Norris claimed he wasn’t getting his full cut. In 2018, he filed a lawsuit against CBS, saying the network owed him over $30 million in profits from Walker, Texas Ranger.

Although Chuck Norris was born in Ryan, Oklahoma, he earned the love and admiration of Texans, becoming an honorary Texan in spirit.

Over the years, he also received numerous formal honors that made it official.

Chuck Norris had lived in the Lone Star State since the early 1990s, after relocating from California and selling many of the properties he had previously owned in and around Los Angeles

One of his most famous properties was a Dallas estate he co-owned with his brother Aaron, where he lived during the filming of Walker, Texas Ranger.

The sprawling home, listed for $1.2 million in 2013, featured four bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a private theatre, weight room, and even a personal lake. A separate studio on the property served as a filming location for the hit TV series.

In 2015, Norris expanded his real estate empire with a $7 million Kauai purchase.

The three-bedroom, five-bathroom, 4,500-square-foot Paradise Island Ranch served as a longtime family retreat and a peaceful escape from Hollywood’s spotlight.

It was also in Hawaii, at his longtime vacation home, where Chuck Norris fell ill and later passed away.

The actor is survived by his five children from two marriages. He married Dianne Kay Holechek in 1958, welcoming sons Mike and Eric before separating in 1989.

He also had a daughter, Dina, from an extramarital relationship. In 1988, he married Gena O’Kelley, and the couple had twins Dakota and Danilee in 2001.
