Body language expert spots chilling detail about backpack of masked person at Nancy Guthrie’s home

A body language expert is drawing attention to a chilling detail relating to the masked individual seen at the home of Nancy Guthrie before she went missing.

Nancy, 84, disappeared from her Tucson, Arizona residence and was reported as missing on February 1.

A widespread search was quickly launched after blood belonging to Nancy, mother of TODAY co-anchor Savannah Guthrie, was found at the scene. That search has now entered its twelfth day, with FBI images and video offering the first chilling glimpse of the suspect on February 10.

The footage, pulled from a Nest security camera outside the property where Nancy vanished, shows a masked figure in light-colored clothing approaching the house at night.

In one frame, the person appears to be carrying a firearm in a way that immediately raised red flags for former FBI agent Mark Harrigan.

“That is a very non-conventional way to carry a firearm. Very non-conventional,” Harrigan told The New York Post, pointing to what appears to be the weapon positioned at the front of the suspect’s body.

“He has it in the open, which is unusual, because normally you would want it concealed when you’re going to do a crime, so you’re not calling attention to yourself with an exposed firearm,” he said.

A body language expert has since weighed in on the footage, drawing attention to the suspect’s backpack.

Susan Constantine, a world renown analyst who offers courses on Deception Detection Training & Services, pointed out that the suspect’s backpack was “already full”. For her, this is a red flag.

“Because the person would have come in with less stuff in the backpack, and they generally come in with two or three people because they have tasks that they have to do. One’s a lookout. One is coming to the front…might be breaking the window? Another one is the one who enters,” Constantine explained, per VT.

She went on: “So there’s they have they have their roles. That’s what I’m trying to say. It’s unusual to see a burglar coming in with a full backpack through the main front door by themselves. So I don’t think that this was a burglary.”

Her analysis is in harmony with the opinion of former CIA officer and FBI special agent Tracy Walder.

Walder viewed the footage and pin-pointed the suspect’s gait and lack of night vision glasses as potential crucial details.

“While the walk is not overly distinctive, it’s something the FBI could definitely look at,” she said, according to Page Six. “I’m shocked [they] didn’t have some kind of night vision glasses to deter [their] eyes.”

TMZ today reports that a third ransom note has been received by Nancy’s family, with a very specific demand.

This time, the note has a link to a different Bitcoin wallet. The last note had demanded $6,000,000. It is not yet known how credible the note is, but TMZ reports that it has been handed over to the FBI.

The note allegedly reads: “If they want the name of the individual involved then I want 1 Bitcoin to the following wallet.”

The note ends with what seems like an eerie warning: “Time is more than relevant.”
