The ICE agent deployment in Minnesota cities have sturred up plenty of emotions among residents. Now, news of immigration agents having a meal at a Mexican restaurant before returning only hours later to arrest employees has come to light.
ICE agents have performed a huge operation in Minnesota in recent weeks. Their presence has been heavily criticized by many residents, not least after the fatal shooting of Renee Nicole Good about two weeks ago.
Anti-ICE protests have been held in both St Paul and Minneapolis, but while many have slammed the agents for their actions, the Trump administration and MAGA followers have praised their efforts in removing illegal immigrants.
Sadly, American citizens have been caught in the middle of the operation as well.

As ICE agents, or anyone else working for that matter, are carrying out their orders, eating is a must. Now, The Minnesota Star Tribune reports on a disturbing event at a Mexican restaurant, where ICE agents were eating.

Hours later, they returned and arrested employees. According to the newspaper, four agents ate lunch at El Tapaito restaurant in Willmar, Minnesota, around 3 pm local time on January 14.
Hours later, at 8.30 pm, they arrested employees of the restaurant near a local church after they closed up for the evening. According to The Minnesota Star Tribune, a bystander asked, “Would your mama be proud of you right now?” while others blew whistles.
In a statement to Unilad, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said the ICE agents had “conducted surveillance of a tarnet,” which was an “illegal alien from Mexico.”

“Officers observed that the target’s vehicle was outside of a local business and positively identified him as the target while inside the business. Following the positive identification of the target, officers then conducted a vehicle stop later in the day and apprehended the target and two additional illegal aliens who were in the car, including one who had a final order of removal from an immigration judge,” DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said.
Several businesses have closed amid ICE raids
“We encourage all illegal aliens to use the CBP Home app to get a free flight home and $1,000 stipend. By using the CBP Home app, illegal aliens have the opportunity to come back to the U.S. the right legal way and live the American dream.”
CBS reports that El Tapaito, among other businesses, has closed. A 20-year-old says his parents, who own the restaurant, have been detained. They will reopen on Saturday.
