Donald Trump has raised eyebrows – and is even mocked – after he sent a fundraising email to his supporters. The email, sent on January 13, just after midnight, has gone viral for all the wrong reasons.
Donald Trump has the world watching as he continues to claim the US “needs” Greenland for their national security. He recently punished European countries with 10% tariffs for supporting Denmark in keeping Greenland part of its royal kingdom. On social media, he’s threatened to take over the large island in the Arctic province.
While Trump has scaled up his rhetoric, the upcoming midterms will be crucial for the sitting president. Therefore, he sent a quite unusual fundraising email, which has since been mocked online.
The subject line reads, “I’m alon and in the dark,” painting the dramatic scene of the President of the United States working late on his own.
“Some people are saying: This is sad,” the fundraising email read. “I’m sitting here. Aome. In the war room. Fighting for you. The resrt of the staff went home hours ago. It’s ust me, one dying laptop and the 72-hour countdown clock to my first mid-month deadline of the year just RANG.”
Donald Trump mocked online over ‘creepy’ fundraising email
Donald Trump continued to explain that if his fundraising goal wasn’t met, the “radical Left” would clip Congress in 2026. That, according to the president, would mean “open borders forever,” brainwashing children, confiscating firearms, and even using it to do “another FAKE impeachment” of him.
Trump continued his email, which can be accessed through the Archive of Political Emails,” They’re already spending BILLIONS (Dirty Money, I bet) to bury US and bury YOU! I need a small sacrifice from every red-blooded American who wants to save the country!”
Trump said he’s “dead serious,” adding that if they miss the fundraising goal, the “MAGA Movement crumbles.” He said that if supporters send $47 in “the next 30 minutes,” he would personally send his limited-edition 2025 Trump Calendar.
“But that’s nothing compared to losing the country,” Donald Trump concluded. “We have been fighting for years.. And I fear the end is near. The woke mind virus is infiltrating more and more Americans every day. This could be our last chance! Do it for America, show them MAGA is strong!”
“Disgusting grift”
While it’s unclear how much money Trump raised through his email, social media went into a meltdown over the text.
Democratic social media personality Harry Sisson wrote, “Trump sent this creepy email to his supporters last night saying he’s ‘alone and in the dark’ and he’s writing the message from a ‘dying laptop.’ The only way to help him is to donate your money to him. Disgusting grift. Very weird!”
“I’m curious ….which intern wrote this !!??” one user commented.
Another added, “Whoever wrote it apparently went home early.”
“What, did he not pay the power bill?” a third joked.
“Ewww so CREEPY and YUCKYYYYY!!!” a fourth stated, while a fifth wrote, “This is a calculated grift that makes him look weak, desperate, and pathetic, especially as a sitting president/pedophile supposedly running the country from Mar-a-Lago. Republicans still silent.”
