Trump reveals what he and Melania did on their first night in the White House

Donald and Melania Trump have lived at the White House twice. The couple moved in for the first time in 2017, and one can only imagine how special it must’ve been. So what did they do their first night at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue? Donald Trump has revealed all the details.

No matter what you think about his politics, it’s safe to say that Donald Trump’s terms as President of the United States have not been quiet. While his work as president is making headlines every day, his and Melania’s private life has also been heavily reported on.

The couple has been surrounded by rumors about their marriage. When they moved into the White House, it was claimed that they didn’t share a bedroom.

In his 2018 book Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House, author Michael Wolff claimed that Donald and Melania slept in separate rooms at the White House. If true, they have been the first couple to do so since John and Jackie Kennedy.

Moreover, Donald was rumored to have had quite the bizarre nighttime ritual. The president demanded a key to his bedroom to lock out his wife and the Secret Service.

Why? So he could eat McDonald’s cheeseburgers alone and watch three different televisions simultaneously.

Donald & Melania Trump’s nighttime routine in the White House
In April earlier this year, a Daily Mail insider said that Donald and Melania Trump have another intimate nighttime routine designed to keep their bond strong. The source claimed the couple is far from unhappy, and every night, they enjoy dinner together.

“They ate dinner together every night, though they did not share a bedroom. Trump slept in a room adjacent to the yellow oval room,” the insider said per the Irish Star, comparing the Trumps’ relationship to Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, who also had separate bedrooms but enjoyed a very long and happy marriage.

Moreover, the insider stated that because they have separate bedrooms, it is “not indicative of an unhappy marriage.”

“The residence staff really liked the Trumps during the first term. If you have a frigid marriage on a knife’s edge, staff can tell, and it’s uncomfortable. There was a good vibe from the housekeepers,” the insider told the Daily Mail.

The White House provides the president and his family with everything they need. The residence consists of 132 rooms, 35 bathrooms, and 6 levels.

What Donald and Melania did on their first night in the White House
Moving into the White House must be an incredible feeling. So what do you do during your first night in the most famous house in the world? While speaking at a fundraiser for Donald Trump’s massive ballroom project, he revealed what he and Melania did on their first night in the White House in January 2017.

“To me, there’s nothing like the White House. After I won, the first night, I went up and I’m standing in the residential hallway with Melania and I’m looking into the Lincoln Bedroom,” Trump told the crowd. “I say, ‘That was a surreal experience.’ I’m saying, ‘Do you believe this? We’re in the White House and that’s the Lincoln bedroom!’” Trump continued.

Trump added, “It takes a while to get [used to it]. I’m still not, probably, used to it. It’s just a special place, what can I say. So we have to take care of it,”
