Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker takes aim at Trump with jaw-dropping accusation

Donald Trump is running his own race in Illinois after deploying Texas National Guard troops during the anti-immigration protests. Everyone isn’t happy about it, and one of those is Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker, who now sends a brutal verdict on Trump, claiming the president suffers from dementia.

Donald Trump is facing heavy criticism from the state of Illinois over his decision to deploy Texas National Guard troops in the state. The National Guard, with around 500 members, is based at an Army Reserve station about an hour southwest of Chicago.

They are mobilized for an initial period of 60 days; however, an ongoing lawsuit is challenging their deployment.

Trump’s decision has been praised by many of his supporters and Republican officials, but Democrats and officials in Illinois are showing their anger and frustration. Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker.

After criticizing Trump, the president responded by making a shocking statement saying both Pritzker and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson “should be in jail.”

“Chicago Mayor should be in jail for failing to protect Ice Officers!” Trump said.

Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker claims Donald Trump “suffering dementia”
But Pritzker won’t stay quiet. Instead, the Governor is now attacking Donald Trump, accusing him of “suffering dementia” in what can only be described as an escalation of their feud.

“This is a man who’s suffering dementia,” Pritzker said on Tuesday, per The Chicago Tribune. “This is a man who has something stuck in his head. He can’t get it out of his head, he doesn’t read. He doesn’t know anything that’s up to date. It’s just something in the recesses of his brain that is effectuating to have him call out these cities.”

Pritzker added, “And then, unfortunately, he has the power of the military, the power of the federal government to do his bidding, and that’s what he’s doing.”

Donald Trump is said to soon undergo his “annual medical inspection,” although he did one earlier this year. Meanwhile, fears for his health have been raised numerous times earlier this year, particularly due to his hands.

Last spring was the first time the mark on Trump’s dominant hand was noticed, when he appeared in court for his hush money trial against Stormy Daniels. The president has been pictured with bruises on his hand on several occasions since then, such as in February when he met with French President Emmanuel Macron.

Donald Trump’s health
According to the White House, the bruising and wrinkles have nothing to do with Trump’s health.

In a statement, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt attempted to claim that the bruising is simply the result of a lot of handshaking.

“President Trump is a man of the people and he meets more Americans and shakes their hands on a daily basis than any other president in history,” Ms Leavitt said. “His commitment is unwavering and he proves that every single day.”

Before he and his wife, Melania, attended the Kennedy Center premiere of Les Misérables in mid-June, social media users noticed the bruising once again.

Per the Economic Times, Dr. Ola Otulana, a general practitioner and doctor at the Cassiobury Court rehabilitation facility in Watford, England, stated that the bruise on the president’s right hand seems “consistent with a superficial contusion. The doctor added that it could have resulted from “minor trauma” like bumping into something, or perhaps even from a blood draw.
