Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have reportedly separated. Multiple sources have revealed to TMZ that the couple has been living apart “since the beginning of summer.”

It is said that Nicole has been taking care of the two children, “holding the family together through this difficult time since Keith has been gone.”

According to sources, the separation is one-sided, initiated by Urban as Nicole is said to be against the move and is working on saving the marriage.

Another source added, “Keith has acquired his own residence in Nashville and has moved out of their family home.” The couple’s joint home is also in Nashville.

While the couple is separated, there is no news on whether they will proceed with a divorce. The two married in 2006 and share two children together, Sunday and Faith.

According to claims from insiders on why this happened, since Kidman spends a lot of time in London where she is apart from Keith Urban, “it’s like they both went their separate ways” already. The death of Kidman’s mom played a big role in the decision as well, apparently.

The two of them have been spending a lot of time apart. An insider said that while apart, they make “a big effort to speak every day when they’re apart, but it’s quite shocking how much time they’ve spent apart since Nic’s mother died (last) September. It’s like they both went their separate ways and now she’s getting comfortable in a dream home in London on the other side of the world.”

In late summer, an insider pointed out, “no one knows how long they can put up with this situation, as they’ve always been diligent about not spending more than two weeks apart. Clearly that’s not the case anymore.”
