Erika Kirk shares emotional story about her daughter after Charlie’s death

Erika Kirk has been left with Charlie Kirk and their two children. The widowed wife has been very open about her feelings after the murder of her husband, and has promised to continue his legacy. Erika has appeared on The Charlie Kirk Show after her husband’s death, but their children always watched their dad’s show. A few days ago, Erika revealed that there was one specific reason why.

Erika Kirk is continuing her husband’s work after he was shot dead a few weeks ago. The mother of two has been very outspoken and open about the tragedy. Shortly after Charlie’s death, she made a statement from the studio and office space where her husband recorded his show, The Charlie Kirk Show.

In a heartbreaking video, Erika said she hadn’t yet explained to their two children, a daughter born in August 2022 and a son born in May 2024, that their father wasn’t coming back. Instead, she explained that he was on a work trip with Jesus.

“Charlie always said that when he was gone, he wanted to be remembered for his courage and for his faith,” Erika Kirk said. “Most of all, Charlie loved his children, and he loved me with all of his heart,” she added. “My husband laid down his life for me, for our nation, for our children.”

“When I got home last night, Gigi, our daughter, just ran into my arms, and I talked to her and she said, ‘Mommy, I missed you’. I said, ‘I missed you too, baby’. She goes, ‘Where’s Daddy?’,” she continued.

“What do you tell a three-year-old? She’s three. I said, ‘Baby, daddy loves you so much. Don’t you worry. He’s on a work trip with Jesus, so he can afford your blueberry budget.’”

Erika Kirk shares reason why their daughter always watched their father’s show
Charlie and Erika Kirk decided to maintain their children’s privacy. Therefore, not much is known about them.

Just days ago, however, she gave a small insight into Charlie’s relationship with his children. Speaking on Fox, Erika explained that their daughter always watched her father’s shows, for one particular, heartwarming reason.

Every time he went on his show, he always brought one of his daughter’s toys with him.

“That was their little connection,” Erika Kirk said. “And he loved it too, because it was a little piece of her that he could have with her on the show.”
