Leaders from Italy, Germany, and the United Kingdom flew into the United States to talk about the future of the Russia-Ukraine war and the ceasefire deal.

Donald Trump held a meeting to plan for the future, after he had a meeting with Vladimir Putin, the Russian leader, to strike a peace deal which did not, according to Trump’s own admission, come to fruition.

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni was seen rolling her eyes at German Chancellor Friedrich Merz as he talked about how the ceasefire deal is important between Russia and Ukraine.

She rolled her eyes several times as Trump and Merz spoke and people online found her interactions quite telling in what she was thinking.

The clip went viral on social media. It features NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Merz, Meloni, Finnish President Alexander Stubb, and French President Emmanuel Macron discussing Ukraine.

Merz and Macron attempted to push Trump to get a ceasefire deal as the negotiations with Russia did not go through well. The German chancellor said about the issues, “Let’s try and put pressure on Russia, because the credibility of this effort, these efforts were are undertaking today, are depending on at least a ceasefire from the beginning of the serious negotiations, from next stop on.”

He went on, “I would like to emphasize this aspect and would like to see a ceasefire from the next meeting, which should be a trilateral meeting, wherever it takes place.”

As Merz was speaking, the Italian leader was seen rolling her eyes.

Then she rolled her eyes again as Trump was speaking and seemingly making a joke.

In the clip that went viral on social media, Trump was heard talking about how Italian governments don’t last very long since the country has seen 68 different administrations since the Second World War.

The POTUS went on to add, “You’ve lasted a long time, you’re gonna be there a long time.”

At the comment she seemed to have been nodding at the POTUS, and when he looked away, she seemed to roll her eyes as she faced the front of the room.

People found it hilarious, one person wrote, “He is so dense that she can actually roll her eyes next to him.” Some thought it might have been flirting, “Apparently a woman has never gave you a hair flip with a smile and a look up to the heavens. This is called flirting.”

While some thought of it as not an ‘arrogant’ but just a ‘tick,’ writing, “think she’s just eyerolling the compliment in humility. I’ve done it before myself in the moment when someone sang my praises. It’s a natural reaction and I think it’s a self-conscious tic on her part because she often does this.”
