Trump Suggests Former VP Harris Broke Campaign Finance Laws

President Donald Trump has indicated that former Vice President Kamala Harris might have participated in unlawful activities due to a series of dubious financial choices made during her 2024 presidential campaign.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump remarked that he was “examining the substantial amount of money” that Democrats owed following the 2024 election. The Harris campaign, along with its associated Democratic organizations, concluded the race with debts amounting to tens of millions of dollars, despite having raised unprecedented funds for such a brief campaign.

Trump also highlighted the Harris campaign’s strategy of enlisting celebrities for pre-rally concerts to create an illusion of enthusiasm—citing a widely reported event where Beyoncé was rumored to perform at a rally in Houston but ultimately did not show up. Large groups of alleged “Harris supporters” were observed departing the venue once it became evident that she would not take the stage.

“I’m examining the significant amount of money owed by the Democrats after the Presidential Election, and the acknowledgment that they likely paid, illegally, Eleven Million Dollars to singer Beyoncé for an ENDORSEMENT (she never sang a single note and left the stage to a booing and irate audience!), Three Million Dollars for ‘expenses,’” the president stated on Truth Social.

He also referenced similar cases involving Oprah Winfrey and Al Sharpton, both of whom received substantial payments for what Trump characterized as “absolutely nothing!” He added: “These outrageous fees were inaccurately recorded in the financial statements. YOU ARE NOT PERMITTED TO PAY FOR AN ENDORSEMENT. IT IS COMPLETELY ILLEGAL TO DO SO. Can you imagine the chaos that would ensue if politicians began compensating individuals for endorsements? All hell would break loose!”

He concluded his post with the following statement: “Kamala, along with all those who received Endorsement funds, VIOLATED THE LAW. They ought to be prosecuted!”

Harris amassed over $1 billion for her 2024 presidential campaign in under 80 days, from July 21, 2024—when she was named the Democratic nominee—until early October. This total included $81 million raised within the first 24 hours after then-President Joe Biden’s exit, $310 million in July, $361 million in August, and $378 million in September.
