Heartbreaking news…Rory Feek Involved in a Fatal Car Away Yesterday

Rory Feek, a prominent figure in American country music, is celebrated for his songwriting prowess and his heartfelt performances as one half of the beloved duo Joey + Rory. Born on April 25, 1965, in Atchison, Kansas, Rory initially made his mark behind the scenes, crafting hit songs for renowned artists such as Blake Shelton and Kenny Chesney.

His path to performing took a significant turn in 2008 when he teamed up with his late wife, Joey Martin, after their appearance on the CMT series “Can You Duet.” As Joey + Rory, they quickly captivated audiences with their unique blend of classic country sounds and deeply personal lyrics. Their music, including the popular track “Cheater, Cheater,” resonated with fans across the nation, leading to several successful album releases.

In 2014, Joey was diagnosed with cervical cancer. Rory bravely chronicled their journey through her illness on his blog, “This Life I Live,” sharing intimate reflections on their faith, struggles, and unwavering love. Joey’s passing in 2016 left a profound void, but Rory continued to share their story, inspiring countless individuals with his remarkable resilience and devotion.

Since then, Rory has dedicated himself to raising their daughter, Indiana, who was born in 2014 with Down syndrome. He openly embraces the joys and challenges of raising a child with special needs, emphasizing that Indiana’s condition doesn’t define her. Rory sees her as a bright, normal child, a true gift who fills his life with happiness.
