Ellen DeGeneres unrecognizable after leaving USA

Ellen DeGeneres has quietly reinvented herself, and fans can’t stop talking about the transformation. The former talk show host has traded Hollywood glam for country charm, embracing a slower life in the English countryside with wife Portia de Rossi.

Now 67, DeGeneres recently gave followers a glimpse of her new day-to-day in rural Oxfordshire, where she and de Rossi settled after their initial home in the Cotswolds was damaged by flooding.

Since relocating, the comedian seems more relaxed than she’s been in years, and she’s sporting a noticeably different look to match.

Gone is Ellen’s signature platinum pixie cut. In its place: a softer, darker brunette shade that has left fans doing double takes.

Her subtle reinvention feels like a clear sign that she’s stepping into a new chapter, far from the limelight, and even further from the controversy that once surrounded her.
The move to England reportedly came not long after Donald Trump’s re-election in late 2024, a shift that sources say played a role in the couple’s decision to leave the U.S. behind.

Their presence in the village hasn’t gone unnoticed. Local pub owner and former Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson recently confirmed that Ellen and Portia are regulars at his pub, The Farmer’s Dog.

“She lives in the village where our pub is,” Clarkson told The Mirror. “Everyone said she’d been cancelled, but she seemed very friendly and lovely. I’m not going to believe what I read online.”

Ellen’s low-key British lifestyle was on full display in a recent Instagram clip showing her first attempt at mowing the lawn on her new yellow ride-on mower.

The video opens with the words “How it started” as she confidently sets off across the grass, then cuts to “How it ended”, with Ellen looking slightly overwhelmed and in need of help.

“Portia thought it would be fun to film my first time on the mower,” she joked in the caption. “She was right.”

For someone once known for dancing down studio aisles, Ellen’s new rhythm (boots, grass, and a garden mower) seems to suit her just fine.
