TikTok star Joules Smith, 6, passes away in her parents’ bed weeks after last video

Six-year-old TikTok star Joules Smith, lovingly known as the “little dancing queen,” tragically passed away on December 9, 2024, after a heartbreaking battle with diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG), a rare and aggressive brain tumor typically affecting children aged 5 to 7. Her parents, Joe and Esha, revealed they spent every possible moment with their daughter during her final weeks,

staying by her side until she passed peacefully in their bed. Diagnosed in May, Joules was given only nine months to live, and her family dedicated her remaining time to making her final months as joyful and memorable as possible. Her TikTok followers honored her through the touching “Dancing for Joules” trend, raising awareness about terminal childhood illness.

Joules’ journey touched hearts around the world, with her family sharing candid and emotional updates on social media. From the moment they noticed unusual symptoms and received her diagnosis at King’s College Hospital in London, her parents vowed to make every day count. A month before her passing, doctors warned that time was running out,

but Joe and Esha remained strong, surrounded by a supportive online community. “We are so proud of you princess,” Esha wrote after her passing. “You made this world a better place.” The Smith family has expressed deep gratitude for the love and encouragement they’ve received, and they promise to keep Joules’ legacy alive by continuing to dance in her honor.
