Who doesn’t love a good bit of speculation regarding two powerhouse celebrities and a potential romance in the offing?

No one is the answer you’re looking for (you’re welcome). As it happens, there are rumors steadily gaining traction involving a potential love affair between two rather unlikely A-listers, so we thought you fine folk had better be brought up to speed.

As fans of hers will no doubt know, Demi Moore hosted the amfAR gala during the Cannes Film Festival in France recently, setting the internet alight with her outfit in the process.

Yet it was the company she shared after the event that’s now attracting a fresh wave of intrigue. According to reports, singer Joe Jonas made a surprise appearance at the aforementioned amfAR gala alongside his brother, Nick.

Demi and Joe are said to have hung out with mutual friends at Hotel du Cap in Antibes, prompting speculation regarding a potential romance.

Now, it must be categorically stated at this stage that there are sources claiming the two simply connected due to their overlapping social circles, though if you’re a believer of the old ‘no smoke without fire’ adage, you’ll also be interested in hearing that other reports hint that there’s more than just friendship bonding them.

Fans have also been reacting to the news online, with one excitedly commenting, “What an unusual pairing, I actually hope it’s true!”

Demi, meanwhile, has been married three times (Freddy Moore between 1980 and 1985, Bruce Willis between 1987 and 2000, and Ashton Kutcher between 2005 and 2013), and was most recently romantically engaged with chef Daniel Humm two years ago.

Moore’s marriage to Kutcher, and the associated age-gap of 15 years, is perhaps an indication that the potentially controversial difference in years between she and Joe Jonas wouldn’t necessarily be an absolute hurdle.

Joe’s brother Nick, meanwhile, is ten years younger than his wife, Priyanka Chopra, so it can be assumed that the notion of an age-gap between partners isn’t entirely foreign to him either.
