Elon Musk has taken to social media after claims made by author Ashley St. Clair stating that the pair had a baby together last year.
St. Clair, a right-wing influencer, claimed on Musk’s platform, X, that she and Musk share a five-month-old child, disclosing on Friday that she was breaking the news to get ahead of the mainstream media.
Her post reads: “Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father. I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child’s privacy and safety, but in recent days days it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause.
“I intend to allow our child to grow in a normal and safe environment. For that reason, I ask that the media honor our child’s privacy, and refrain from invasive reporting.”
Musk, readers will surely be aware, made headlines last night week after his appearance from the Oval Office alongside his four-year-old son and President Donald Trump. Among the questions put forth by journalists was one that forced Musk to publicly correct a statement he had previously made about sending $50 million worth of condoms to Gaza in the Middle East, when it was actually Gaza in Mozambique.
“How can we make sure that all the statements that you said were correct, so we can trust what you say?” the journalist asked after Musk had admitted he had it wrong.
“Some of the things that I say will be incorrect and should be corrected,” replied Musk.
“I mean, you know, we will make mistakes, but we’ll act quickly to correct any mistakes.”
Given the fact that Musk is now acting head of the newly-formed Department of Government Efficiency, as well as his status as the world’s richest man, it should come as no surprise that he finds his name in headlines more often than not.
Even so, when right-wing influencer and author Ashley St. Clair, 26, claimed to have mothered what would be Musk’s 13th child, it did raise a deal of eyebrows.

So much so that Musk himself commented on the rumors, by way of adding his thoughts to an image sharing an alleged screenshot of tweets between a user called Greg Price and St. Clair, Musk writing: “Whoa.”
The screenshots reference a tweet from Price on May 20 reading: “He’s got a kid with a woman already. Seems unlikely to work out.”
And a now-deleted post from St. Clair writes back: “Well he actually has 7 kids & goes through women pretty fast.”
Musk has confirmed that he has 12 children with three other women, which would make any child by St Clair the 13th of his brood.
Yesterday, St. Clair’s representative, President and CEO of Digital Strategy Ltd, Brian Glicklich, took to Twitter yesterday (February 15) to share a statement addressing Ashley and Elon’s alleged relationship, noting the pair ‘have been privately working towards the creation of an agreement about raising the child for some time’ and it was ‘disappointing’ a tabloid reporter allegedly ‘repeatedly ambushed’ St Clair and her family and ‘made it impossible to complete that process confidentially’.
The statement ended: “We are waiting for Elon to publicly acknowledge his parental role with Ashely, to end unwarranted speculation, and Ashley trusts that Elon intends to finish their agreement quickly, in the best interests of the wellbeing and security of the child they share.”
