Pilot dies as Mötley Crüe singer’s jet crashes

A plane owned by Mötley Crüe’s singer Vince Neil has been involved in a fatal collision in Arizona.

The pilot was killed when the aircraft crashed into another plane at the airport, but the iconic rock singer and his girlfriend are reportedly safe.

A private jet owned by Mötley Crüe singer Vince Neil crashed into another aircraft while landing at an Arizona airport on Monday afternoon, leaving one person dead and four others injured, according to authorities.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Vince Neil’s Learjet 35A lost control on the runway and collided with a parked Gulfstream 200 business jet at Scottsdale Airport on the afternoon of February 10.

The aircraft had departed from Austin, Texas, carrying two pilots and two passengers. However, Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil was not on board, according to his representative, Worrick Robinson.

The dramatic crash was captured on video, and the airport was shut down following the incident. Images shared on social media show two wrecked aircraft on the runway, with first responders converging on the scene.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene and had yet to be extricated from the wreckage by 6 p.m. local time, according to Scottsdale Fire Capt. Dave Folio. Two individuals were immediately transported to trauma centers, while another was later taken to a local hospital in stable condition. A fourth person declined medical treatment.

“On behalf of the city of Scottsdale, we offer our deepest condolences to those involved in the accident and for those who have been taken to our trauma center for treatment,” Scottsdale Mayor Lisa Borowsky said in a statement. “We will keep all affected by this tragedy in our prayers.”

Vince Neil’s girlfriend was on board
According to a source speaking to TMZ on Monday, Vince Neil’s 64-year-old partner, Rain Andreani, 43, and her friend Ashley survived the crash and were taken to a nearby hospital following the tragic incident.

Andreani sustained five broken ribs, but all the pet dogs the women had brought on board were unharmed, sources told the outlet.

Mötley Crüe took to their official X/Twitter page to express their sorrow: ”While details are still emerging, our hearts go out to the families about the pilot who lost his life in the passengers who suffered injuries. Mötley Crüe will announce a way to help support the family of the deceased pilot -stand by for an announcement very soon.”

As authorities continue investigating the cause of the crash, airport officials addressed the incident in a statement on X. “Our thoughts are with everyone that has been impacted by this tragic event,” the statement read.

This accident is part of a series of recent aviation tragedies in United States. Among them was a midair collision near Washington, D.C., between an American Airlines passenger jet and a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter, which claimed 67 lives. In another incident, a medical plane crashed in Philadelphia, resulting in seven fatalities.

Additionally, a small aircraft that went missing over Alaska’s Bering Sea was later confirmed to have crashed. The Cessna 208B Grand Caravan, carrying 10 people, was located near Nome after an extensive search.
