After missing President Jimmy Carter’s funeral, former First Lady Michelle Obama will not be present at President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration on Monday.

“Former President Barack Obama is scheduled to attend the 60th Inaugural Ceremonies,” the Office of Barack and Michelle Obama confirmed in a statement to the Associated Press.

Michelle Obama extended her holiday vacation in Hawaii, the birthplace of President Barack Obama, and missed President Jimmy Carter’s funeral at the Washington National Cathedral on Thursday, citing a “scheduling conflict.”

Since her mother, Marian Robinson, passed away in May, the former first lady has kept a lower public profile. She spoke about the profound impact her grief had on her during the August Democratic National Convention.

She said to a crowded crowd at Chicago’s United Center, “I still feel her loss so profoundly—I wasn’t even sure I’d be steady enough to stand before you tonight.”

Prior to Election Day, Michelle Obama headlined several campaign events for Democratic nominee Vice President Kamala Harris, demonstrating her political activism despite her personal struggles.
