On the red carpet, Carrie Underwood and her husband Mike Fisher have become a mainstay couple. Over the years, they have shared the red carpet at some of the most prestigious award ceremonies in the world, including the Grammys, CMA Awards, and American Music Awards. Usually, we just can’t get enough of this country singer’s retired hockey player husband and how adorable they look when they’re together.

The CMT Music Awards are one event where you can almost always count on seeing Fisher standing proudly by his wife’s side. In 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2018, and 2019, the former Nashville Predators stand out performed at the event with Underwood. After a brief period of transition brought on by the epidemic, Fisher was once more by his wonderful wife’s side in 2022. Fisher, however, was not there when the 2023 CMT Awards visited Austin, Texas, on April 2. What gives, then?

Don’t think that since Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher are together, everything is perfect. The fact that his wife was vying for Female Video of the Year and Video of the Year at the 2023 CMT Awards is a fairly lovely explanation for why he wasn’t there to cheer her on in person. When queried about her husband’s whereabouts, the “Hate My Heart” singer said on the red carpet that he was really taking care of the kids that night. “The children are with my husband. He always keeps things running well while I’m out doing things like this “She also mentioned her three boys who were still living at home, implying that they were listening to her from there. Aww!

Significantly, the award ceremony in 2023 probably wasn’t as easily accessible to the former hockey great as it had been in previous years. The CMT Awards had previously been held in Nashville, the center of country music. This was close to Franklin, a neighborhood of Nashville where Underwood and Fisher reside. The award presentation would relocate to the Lone Star State, it was announced in November 2022.

Underwood stunned in a rhinestone two-piece that would put her on all the Best Dressed lists, so it seemed as though she was making the most of her time in Texas away from her boys.

While both Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher are well-known, they make an effort to keep their two kids, Isaiah and Jacob, out of the spotlight. In fact, the “Jesus Take the Wheel” singer and Fisher opted not to bring the kids on their most recent tour in order to avoid upsetting their schedule. They won’t be with me this time, Underwood told ET Canada. “My eldest is enrolled in school, and we firmly believe that education is a top priority. Simply said, we just want their lives to be as normal as they can be.”

Fisher is also a hands-on parent, according to Underwood, which frees her up to concentrate on her profession. “I also feel incredibly fortunate. I have to give my hubby a little props “Added she. “He has it. While I’m not around, he has it under lock. I never have to be concerned that washing isn’t done or that lunches aren’t packed.”

And that makes sense given that Fisher has long desired to have children. Before Isaiah was born in 2015, he told The Tennessean that he was eager to raise his children. When it actually happens, having children is the best thing ever, as many people have said it is difficult to express before. “I’m just kind of considering wanting to be the best dad I can be,” the speaker said.

Despite the fact that Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher currently have a reputation as model parents, this wasn’t always the case. Fisher has always wanted to be a loving father, whereas Underwood initially didn’t think she would make a decent mother.

“With kids of other people’s, I was never good. In the song “Mike and Carrie: God & Country,” the country singer asked, “Why would I be good with one of my own?” “docuseries, adding that initially, having children wasn’t even on her priority list. I don’t think I ever considered getting married or starting a family, she added. “I’ve always managed to get along very well on my own.” But Fisher was the complete opposite. “I had three more siblings growing up. And my parents were wonderful. And I believe I just desired something similar “said him. “Just to be like my dad and have a wife like my mom, I wanted to be the best father I could be. and living in the country with children.”

Nonetheless, everything turned out well for them because Underwood and Fisher are now raising their two children in the country. After the birth of Isaiah, Underwood’s entire perspective on parenting had altered. “I’m certain that it has altered who I am. I feel better. I often have a better disposition, “She said to Redbook Magazine. “I’m in love entirely!”
