Judges Thought She Picked A Hard Song, But Once She Started Singing I Got Chills

A short preview was given by singer-songwriter Grace WanderWaal at her 2016 America’s Got Talent audition, just before she made her on-stage debut.

When Grace was twelve years old, she declared, “I’m doing my own song tonight, because I really think that it shows who I am.” Grace was born in Kansas but was living in New York at the time.”Hopefully. I’m hoping it does.

Yes, to make a long story short.

Grace’s incredible performance earned her the nickname “the next Taylor Swift.”It also set her on a prosperous, glitter-covered path. She took home the $1 million prize on AGT in Season 11.

Grace VanderWaal’s Initial AGT Test

When Judge Simon Cowell questioned Grace about her belief that she may win, she responded, “Miracles can happen, so possibly.”

She responded, “It’s about me,” to Simon’s question about the song she would be performing. She continued by saying that the majority of her school pals “don’t really know I sing.”

Her friends and AGT viewers were the first to notice her unique voice and approach to passionate songwriting.

Grace, backed by a ukulele, dazzled from the first note of “I Don’t Know My Name,” an honest and emotional song about coming to terms with one’s identity.

“My name is unknown to me. Grace sung, “I don’t play by the rules of the game.””You say I’m just trying, that’s right,”

What verdicts did the judges render?

Grace prepared to hear what the four judges thought of her audition as the standing throng went silent and chairs were taken.

Howie Mandel was not shy about sharing his thoughts.

He declared, “This is a show about surprises.””You referred to yourself as a miracle, and in my opinion, you are a gorgeous, walking miracle.”

Howie went on, mentioning something in the lyrics of the song that said, “You’re original.””I believe that everyone will know your name, thus it is both right and wrong for people to not know it. They will probably recognize your name by now.

After that, he pressed the Golden Buzzer, launching Grace into live performances. Grace broke down in tears of joy and Howie ran to give her a hug.”You are incredible,” he said to her.

Simon revealed that Grace’s ability to draw inspiration for songs from her personal experiences made him think of a pop star.He said, “Grace, you know what I predict for you.””You could be the next Taylor Swift,” I said.

What a wonderful girl. “What a wonderful personality,” Simon exclaimed to the other judges.

Amazing, commented Heidi Klum.”That truly is amazing.”

“She is unique,” Mel B remarked.

“Do you believe that you are now a star?”Simon was asked by Howie.

Simon declared, “I think we’ve got a star,” and he was “annoyed” that he was left out of the Golden Buzzer press.
